don’t know if anyone is still interested but since i posted this thread i’ve taken a couple of people’s advice and have taken him daily to the park, allowed him off his lead to run and played with him lots(he’s had to go back on lead within close proximity to other dogs but comes off again when they go) anyways he’s been so knackered out that he’ll crash out on the floor on the walk home

so since this i’ve had to leave him as usual but with no muzzle and only for a couple of hours while i go to town(when i said while we work i forgot to mention i don’t have a job at the moment so he’s only on his own max 3hours unless i’m off on a visit down south which is rare!)

anyways…having come home after leaving him…he’s done absolutely nothing to the house for the last 3days!!! it’s absolute heaven to come home and not find the place destroyed.

i’m hoping that he’ll keep up with the good behaviour as long as i keep spending the time allowing him to run and play(we play catch, have even bought him loads of new toys) he’s also recieving treats when we get home and he’s been good so i really hope it encourages him!!

Great progress Kenty, looks like he is enjoying quality play time with you and its paying off :)

dont forget make a big fuss when you come home and he has been good and have plenty of rewards in for him, sounds like he is going to earn them!

It is so easy when you tackle a problem like this as early as possible. Im a firm believer that there are not bad dogs but bad owners (dont take that personal!) but with a bit of help can acheive great new beginnings

Well done, Id love it if you keep us informed :):)

    really chuffed for ya! xx

i’m having to go down south again next week, will be gone for a week or more, sam is looking after the dog so i’m guessing i’ll be back on here saying he’s destroyed stuff while i’m away :?

guess sam will just have to get up at 6am to take him to the field

great news keep up the good work, glad you have been able to let him off to play far better than any amount of indoor play u can give him, tell sam to leave plenty to keep him occupied when out too, fingers crossed for ya, good work :)
