    2 things

Sorry shaz but i disagree. I DO doubt she has any love for the dog at all. Firstly she talks about getting “rid” of the animal because of his/her behaviour, when largely she is the cause of it. Who in their right mind muzzles a dog from 8 till 5??? It’s sick. The constant barking and chewing are a sign of boredom and attention craving ffs. His toilet habits are also the fault of the owner. Its obvious that if you dont toilet train a dog that he/she will pi.ss and cra.p where ever it pleases :? I really hope she DOES rehome the dog, to a family that will give it the love and attention it so needs because she doesnt deserve the animal.

Politics you’ve proven once again that you are an absolute moron. EVERYONE so far has said the dog is craving attention because he is left alone for so long and your suggestion is that he should be caged all day, while muzzled i assume :? You want her to toilet train the animal by letting him sit in his own filth all day in a cage…and you’re supposed to be an animal lover?? yeah right. Dread to think how you keep your animals if you think this is acceptable.

There is nothing like saying what you think with no feelings spared and pebbles will always do that, and its a great quality if you can get away with it.

I personally feel that to help this dog we have to help Kenty first. And I dont want to scare her away and never find out what the outcome with this doggy is. I have people on the other forum who are equally concerned for a positive outcome, and wish to know what progress is made.

They can also help with re-homing issues if the worst does come to the worst.

The main factor in this is the dog and by frightening away the person who posted the problem we may make the problem worse? I dont know, because I dont know kenty too well, but I know she has Uni and a baby coming up in the future and is fairly young so has a lot on her plate and I would like to offer her help for the future rather than criticism of the past if this is going to get solved. 8)

We still don’t know all the circumstances on this. and I dont think kentlass would have
started this thread if she didnt care, like you say Shazz she needs help & advise on what to do,

And I also understand Pebbs point of veiw, lets hope this gets resolved without any rows
as I myself would like to know the outcome.

Maybe there is a simple solution to all this….

…. why not send the ickle doggy to Korea??? They just love dogs over there.

Pebbles to start with if u actually read it i stated that it wasnt acceptable to leave him in a cage all day from 8-5 in fact i believe i stated as such twice and the need for more attention also and i agree he is stressed and is suffering from seperation anxiety and needs more love and attention, but as usuall u pick the bits that suits u to throw some abuse at me, and secondly i know the theory works as i train dogs and other people and their dogs in behaviour and obedience and agility, dogs are not human and do not have human emotions, and you will find that the dog is in fact far happier having stimulation and a toy treats than getting him self stressed out and damaging the house with the risk of hurting himself when a television falls on him next time, look beyond ur nose and if you are going to comment read it properly, personally i think she should re home him but unlike you i dont dictate what i want onto others merely offfer advice that i do actually know something about, so when u are getting paid to do what i do and are getting the results and happy dogs and owners then come back to me with ur bull sh it.

and i agree pats because it is usually owners that are the problem not always through being nasty or cruel but ignorance, i would rather put down 90% of the owners that i train than the animals, it isnt the dogs fault hardly ever just bad or misguided ownership.

wow! thanks for the replies guys.

shaz and pats…thanks for posting this on your forums!

i seem to come across as a bad guy  he’s only left for as long as we need to go out and work, which is generally 8am til 5pmish

the muzzle thing isn’t because of his howling, it’s a prevention method to control his unnecessary barking when we’re out…the landlord has threathened to evict us if he isn’t quietened down(he can still breathe and drink…and apparently chew things!…with it on.

as for the person that said maybe he misses his previous owner…my statement about him being my parents was a little misleading…while he was technically my mothers i lived at home and basically fed and had responsibility for him so no way he misses that old cow!

should i also have mention that we rescued him from someone that would tie and beat him???

you really shouldnt have him muzzled though kent lass u are just increasing his stress sadness and frustration u need to find an alternative like mentioned in my other post such as a kong proper chew toys for him, ideally u could do with having a room for him that there is nothing he can damage either of urs or himself on, his behaviour is one of stress u need to relieve that, the fact he doesnt get “run” exercise will probably be a big factor again u need to try and find a way or alternative to this.

That said 9 hours a day in a cage is a bit much. he could do with being let out at least once for toileting and a run about during that time.

Also dogs dont like laying in their own faeces or urine so the use of a cage is excellent to stop bad toileting habits or house training

oh dear my mistake…in the 9 hours that you want the dog locked in a cage (and lets not forget that kent has him muzzled all this time) you have kindly suggested that he be let out for once for a pi.ss and a quick run about. Well thats ok then  Your animals must lead a life of misery.

…and kent, you say that while he has the muzzle on all day he can still drink and chew, chances are then he can still bark dontcha think?? Muzzles are designed for when you take dogs for walks if they are aggressive towards other dogs, not for gagging him into silence. You wouldnt selotape your kids mouth shut would ya?

Atleast once pebbs yes its not case of being locked in a cage its finding the dog an area he is settled in and he is safe for his own sake so he doesnt damage himself with his destructive behaviour and settled, less stressed most importantly ,and yes it does work 9/10 pebbles if properly managed and introduced but i re- iterate it isnt the best scenario for him and i wud only suggest using for short periods of time where possible which is why it would probably be kinda to re home him but u know all that if u read it and tbh ur pathetic attempts of picking statements to suit ur own end are boring me now, my concern is for the dog in a unsuitable situation making the best it can be, not wasting my breath on someone who really is only interested in one ups rather than the actual welfare of an animal in a difficult situation.
