America’s stance as regards China and its dealings with Tibet is just a sound bite. They would never do anything to actually intervene. The Olympics has been a way for Tibet to show the world what is happening. After the Olympics is over, will it fade from the world collective conscience?
Fact of the matter is the US show as much regard to human rights as the Chinese. The US is second in the world to ‘legal’ executions behind the Chinese. The US and China jointly share top spot for carbon emissions. The US have broken more UN rulings than any other country on the planet. The US do not recognise the Hague and the courts against those against humanity… why? Because they won’t exdradite their own citizens that may be found in abuse of such laws. The US is the most dangerous planet on this planet as long as people like Bush can wage war and build empires at the behest of those foolish enough to believe in him
> Stage right Thomas. It’s like murdering someone and then standing before the cameras and telling someone else they are naughty boys for doing it. I now the American electorate are transparent but is it seriously the case that certain people here are as stupid as the American electorate? I guess it must be… Kiss yer arse goodbye because the US political system is about to blow us off this planet.
omg we’re in trouble!

7 August, 2008 at 10:31 pm #360208actually… we ARE in trouble if “we” do not get Uncle fooking Sam off our collective backs..
Bully boy tactics from a bully boy country.. I need not spell out the places they have “liberated”..

I dont think I would put the Yanks in the same bracket as the murdering Chinese, but yes they are hypoctritical to the point of insanity, yet they get away with it.
The Chinese simply have no explanation behind their treatment of their OWN people, and there is no justification for it no matter how they dress it up.
The Yanks will always have some do-gooder ready to talk for hours on WHY they have done something and WHAT they did it for.
I would feel 100 times safer in America than I would in China.
7 August, 2008 at 10:59 pm #360210If the yanks ever get invaded they’ll push the button and i believe are the only country would do so
7 August, 2008 at 11:00 pm #360211Sadly it’s not up to the electorate of the UK to decide whether or not we leave ‘Uncle Sam’ to its own devices, it never enters the political mandate, therefore the UK Government has free hand on how much we suck US cock. All we will do is be ashamed by it whilst around 350 people in this country vote to keep suckng. Good representation for 60 million people. No wonder a quarter of a million Brits are leaving these shores every year. They (and we) are ashamed to live here anymore.

CIA camps around the world that hold ‘missing people’ Gato Bay that holds ‘prisoners’ without conviction or trial. The funding of ‘terrorists’ throughout the world to take down Govts that don’t agree with the US of A. China cause inhumanity within their borders, they are non world aggressive. But the US of As propoganda war works wonders in the West.
The Chinese simply have no explanation behind their treatment of their OWN people, and there is no justification for it no matter how they dress it up.
People are people, doesn’t matter what country. Are you saying it’s ok to torture people so long as they don’t live on your soil?
The Yanks will always have some do-gooder ready to talk for hours on WHY they have done something and WHAT they did it for.
Didn’t really know where you were going with that.

Until you have lived in either country you cannot really make that statement. However having lived in America I will say that the people are great, the Govt is dangerous, and I mean deadly dangerous to world peace. When was the last time China invaded a country against terrorism where it is soaked in black gold? Or when did they just last invade a country?
7 August, 2008 at 11:20 pm #360213My own feelings about the chinese is their strict regimes that their OWN people have no choice but to follow, that is what my problem with them is.
As you said, the American people are fine, its the government that is at fault, thats pretty much on par with most countries though isnt it, the general public are a bunch of really cool dudes and they are all being fucked over by their governments.
Nowt new there I dont fink.

And that’s fine if you live in Luxembourg, not the so called world power.
