The guy is a bloody genius… throws a completely different slant on anything he messes with.
The good thing about Valerie is that both artists can still claim fame to their versions cos they are so damn different and so damn good.
We were listening to the Zutons version in the car the other day and my youngest was singing along. Then we got home and I put Amy on in the kitchen and we were both giggling at the fact its the same song, but different people singing it. I explained, and he thought Mark Ronson was cool to do that.

No, one version is good. One version is an insult – nothing against Amy Winehouse even though I’m not her biggest fan – but some songs should be left alone.

bla bla bla…go listen to radiohead
18 January, 2008 at 12:41 am #43112This week, I have been mostly listening to:
Breaking Benjamin, Stone Sour, Staind, Linkin Park, Oasis, Foo Fighters, Seether, Nirvana, Eminem and Trapt.
Mark feckin Ronson indeed! And for the record, ‘Creep’ is the only Radiohead song I like.

This week I have been mostly eating……….. (that made me laugh that line!)
I like creep, but its a sad song. Foo’s and Oasis are ok, so are Eminem and Nirvana.
I read in the news today (oh boy)… (thought I should add that in there… did you see that 8) )
Eminem has apparantly piled on the pounds and thats why there are no pictures of him in the news. He is apparantly the size of a medium whale.
He needs to Lose It. 8)
18 January, 2008 at 1:12 am #43114Nice gag  Seemingly he’s paying the price of fame and is living like a hermit but there’s always been something odd there. Forget for a minute about the obvious and there’s actually a very child like mentality to a lot of his music.
Think the pressure’s finally got to him.
Anyhoo, I’m off to bed. Night folkies
