Nice, I’m thinking of upgrading, give us a review sometime. :D
24 July, 2008 at 12:07 pm #345885I had the 60GB version (well, I still do) no problems at all for about a year or so then all of a sudden I get a corrupt file that wouldn’t sort itself out. Couldn’t do anything with it either as it just kept trying to repair this file everytime I switched it on. Phoned them on Tuesday, went through all the ‘take it out and put it back in again’ which is no different to ‘switch it off and switch it back on again’ and got a replacement delivered today.
Problem is, I’ve lost all my saved data as it was on the hard drive and that’s a lot of GTA as well as Godfather: Don’s Edition (which I had completed so that’s not such a big loss) and a couple of others I had completed or near enough anyway. One of the downsides of the PS3, no memory card so when it’s gone it’s gone. And that’s kinda putting me off starting over again if I’m honest. These things are rare but when they happen, you tend to think a bit differently.
In terms of graphics & sound then it’s fantastic, obviously some games are better than others, and I love the wireless controller – much more freedom. Wouldn’t reccomend the motion sensor option, where you can control a vehichle for example by moving the controller instead of using the buttons but I can’t do it. Games are pricey but there’s some good sites online.
