It’s a good film, but Hot Fuzz is better. Personally, I’d reccomend Rise Of The Footsolider. Brutal, shocking and bloody brilliant.
Im looking forward to seeing that. Everybody keeps telling us we will like that one. My mate downloaded it and watched it, but I prefer sitting infront of the tv to watch a movie, not the pc.

Im not really into contemporary Horror genre ! I quite liked the “grudge” though and the SAW and hostel films,, I would not go out my way to get them,,if not the fact i have them free on a PC.
a good hammer and original tales from the unexpected,,gets me more than ANY FX..
and i CANNOT watch psycho alone,,to THIS day!
im a big feardie !
I find the older the movie the more chilling they can be because you remember being pretty young when you first witnessed it. My mum is like that with Excorcist. To this day she cannot watch it. But I think its actually more laughable than scary.
Blair witch shook my pants off the first couple of times, but it is one of my favorites and the way it was made broke so many boundaries.
12 January, 2008 at 11:50 pm #121762blair witch is one of the worst films i have had the mis fortune to watch, terrible
12 January, 2008 at 11:53 pm #121763sheest,,i was only young when the excorcist came out..but too baby faced dammit,,class mates went to see it. I saw a middle spread in Daily Record ( Scottish Tabloid) that was enough for me ! when it was first out there were sick bags being handed out and Nuns outside to bless folks !
its like the earlier horrors..they had a fright break,! for folks who were scared at an easy beginning to leave the cinema now.
I think im MY era..i lived in London..so we finished work and would head up to the Odeon in Leicetster SQ to see the Friday the 13th and my bloody valentines..back in the day ya got 2 movies for yer money :) the devil within her and Carrie eeeeeeeeek !! sitting in a lonely auditorium, just me and my pal..ffs we were under the seats,,then to covent garden for a real pizza,,almost scared to mention the film we just watched,,as we closed out eyes at identical times !
12 January, 2008 at 11:55 pm #121764I must admit Im not keen on Carrie…. its all that blood lol
Matty what didnt you like about Blair Witch?
12 January, 2008 at 11:57 pm #121765It’s not a horror ruby, infact it’s based on a true story. It just doesn’t make for pretty viewing. And if you’re easily offended, then steer well clear! I know a woman who said she was offended by the amount of nudity, as oppose to the language and levels of violence. Strange how some minds work!
Never seen saw or hostel. Or psycho for that matter, the first Haloween movie is a classic though. Been watching horror for years though, used to go to my mate’s house and watch them when I was a kid. His parents split up and his dad let him watch what he wanted to keep in favour.
13 January, 2008 at 12:00 am #121766Hostel is good but to me it was forgettable. I love the Saw films although none match number 1. The suspense factor in that was awesome.
Im having new years eve watching Jools repeated on BBC2! Cos we went out I never saw it and had to watch the Madness clips on the net! mmmmm suggggggggggggggggs my lovely london man 8)

Yeah, but a couple of the band (at least one Im sure of) is a gooner, so it works out well in our house.
We’ve got all the footy/crime dvd’s so Im deffo gonna add that one. Our mates keep reading quotes from it and it does sound good. How did you see it…. on the net?
