oh i am glad i saw this,,i have a genuine question here.. i was kinda conned into my mobile and like the eejit i am i signed up .. i have 500 free mins a month and unlimited texts. when i get my bill im lucky if i use an hour a month on phone and about 100 texts..
does unlimited mean abroad too ! to another cell ( as canadians call it) and things like voting on a telly programme,is that free too ? i dont even use house phone now.but even then thats free too,, isnt it ironic,,i used to ring up massive bills and now its all free i dont use it !
im with orange..
15 July, 2008 at 11:57 pm #354467Rubes I don’t bother with a contract anymore, I’m on Dolphin with Orange. it’s a tenner a month and you et 300 texts and half price talk time. If you put 20 quid in you get 600 texts and for 30 quid you get unlimited texts, oh and you also get free tinternet time 8)
I only really use the texts so my credit on my phone mounts up.
Not much help to your questions but if you don’t want a contract then I’d say this is the better option
15 July, 2008 at 11:58 pm #354468Orange Unlimited Bundles – Terms and Conditions from 1st March 2008
These Offers are available to new and existing customers connecting or upgrading to an Eligible Talkplan (as defined below) between 1 March 2008 and 31 July 2008 (an ‘Eligible Customer’) and are subject to the additional Our Customers First terms.
The Offers are subject at all times to a fair usage policy of 3000 minutes or texts (as appropriate) each month or 500MB data per month (See Mobile Internet Bundles). Usage above this amount will constitute abuse and Orange may monitor usage and withdraw the Offer from your account if the fair usage policy is abused.
Text Messages are standard person to person texts within the UK.
Fixed Line Calls are calls in the UK to standard UK landlines (beginning 01/02).
Orange to Orange Calls are for calls made to other Orange phones and Orange answerphone whilst in the UK.
Calls or texts to 08 and 09 numbers and whilst abroad are not included and will be charged at your standard Talkplan rates. Calls to 07744 and 07755 numbers are not included in bundle and will be charged at a flat rate of 20p/min.
Once the Offer is applied to your account you will continue to receive the Bundle for the life of your contract. If your account is terminated for any reason or you migrate to a different talkplan the Offer will be removed from your account.
Orange reserves the right to amend, vary, or cancel these terms and conditions or to withdraw the Offers, or any of them, on providing reasonable notice to you.
Service is subject to the Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Orange Network Services, a copy of which can be found at the back of your Orange phone User Guide. Where there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions, and the Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Orange Network Services, the latter will prevail.I’d imagine that applies to any plan and apparently unlimited means 3000 though it’d be difficult to pass 3000 in a month i guess
