Ghost_Child, Thank you for writing it. Originally when I saw it ,I assumed most would write about their own experiences but it seems that for the most part people are writing from a painful place.
A stark reminder that not everyone finds true love and a reminder that if you have it, how lucky and precious that is.

14 August, 2019 at 7:44 pm #1123006As soon as you try to define love, pigeonhole it, number it, then it’s gone. You can’t do it.
Love is
1. being all soppy
2. a vapour, you’re soon through it
3. being there for someone to the point where you haven’t woken up to the fact that you’re being used
4. coming home from a visit to your parents to discover the man you love so truly has raped and murdered two young girls (Soham). Instead of freaking out in the most major way possible, you then help to remove all tracks of the crime and cover up for him. You then become the most despised woman in the country. Now that is LURVE
5. giving him money whenever he needs it, even to buy condoms which somehow he never uses on you.
6. falling in love with a nine year-old girl at first sight, and fetishising her when she died. Instead of being arrested, you write La Vita Nuova about the nature of love and become world-famous (this refers to an Italian called Dante Alighieri.
7. write rather a lot of semi-mystical crap in jc which passes for wisdom, but really isn’t.
The OP is a number 7 !!
Weemo you is in lurveee girl !!!
Dunno who with !!
14 August, 2019 at 8:01 pm #1123008Sara if you found true love, then your mind collapsed and you were locked away in a room full of nutters. Would you expect your true love to totally ignore you, or would you hope the love had been strong enough for them to make sense of the situation, or would it be they were total scum and should be struck down by lighting.
Although the people that don’t know what true love is, or even what love is will pounce on this like a feline does to its prey. They have never felt love, or loved so their comments are irrelevant.
Ignorance leads them to believe this thread is personal, assuming their own personal experiences of never loving anyone or anyone loving them are words of wisdom.
We consider them as lost souls beyond help.

oh, dear.
A harsh condemnation.
You be God in disguise, Ghostly???
*confesses all me sins but quick
Sara is taking this very seriously, but actually so am I.
I’m not sure how love can’t be personal, but that’s not exactly what I’m saying. I am pointing to the difficulty, if not the impossibility, of defining true love; nothing more, nothing less.. Sara denies this, and makes a good case out for her viewpoint.
But for Sara’s mind to have collapsed, and for the rest of us never to have felt true love, is very very harsh.
And not very perceptive of anything or anybody, despite claiming that you see and know all.

Sara,
I really hope that you’ve found true love with someone.
What on earth makes you think that the people who posted in reply haven’t?

Just to keep this thread on the right track, as some seemed to have went off the rails. Theoretically i was hoping Sara would shine light on what i wrote, although you presume i meant Sara personally which i can assure you that is not the fact. So hopefully Sara will still post her honest opinion before you rudely interrupted.
14 August, 2019 at 9:26 pm #1123021What is love :love is beautiful love can make you feel something different about the opposite person and also love for your children i would walk over hot stones for mine as they mean the world to me but there’s being in love and when you are not in love any more you need to let them go because if you don’t you just didn’t love them in the beginning as they say if you love someone or something you let them go.
