What I’d like to see in JC

2012 is shortly upon us and as is the norm chatters come and go some driven away by the content of certain comments some driven away by failed liaisons with certain chatters and some purely because they found an alternative pastime or more entertaining site.

Irrespective of reasons I feel that many leave due to the inefficiency of site management, and I hasten to add this is not a slur on the voluntary Chatguides.

An hard and fast ruling needs to be applied as its quite evident from observing the room that certain individuals goad, provoke and incite disharmony often resulting in the victim either leaving or being booted for retaliating. This is NOT democratic nor is it fair. These people should be gagged immediately for say an hour, further infringement 2 hours and so on. After a set amount of gaggings periods of banning should be enforced, and warnings should be gazetted regularly

Now some will say what about those with dynamic Ips or an IP randomisers, Well as such a person with both I too can be gagged and /or banned & lose access to the site. This then puts the onus on you the chatter, JustChat offers the facility to ignore and by using this function YOU pick and chose who you wish to include in your chat time.

Chat guides are volunteers and as such what time they give is subject to their work schedule their family lives and whether or not they wish to cyber an old flame. They are human they make mistakes and more often than not don’t see every comment made abusively , so again YOU the chatter can assist them in their duties by using the Report Abusers facility, this helps in two ways 1/ it makes guides aware of who needs watching and 2/ it minimises the time they spend reading through the logs (Room History).

I early on my introduction to Just Chat advocated a registry system were names were validated by registration via an email address I still believe this is the only way to combat scrollers and known abusive chatters.

Just Chat only succeeds by the amount of users that the sponsors see using it and perhaps this is at the price of quantity rather than quality. Nonetheless it provides you with the pleasures that you seek be it a chat a quick fling in a local Holiday Inn or friendship.

So voice your opinions tell the Site management YOUR Views give them feedback. This site offers so much to so many why allow a few to drive a wedge into its heart and bleed away the reasons you’re here ?????
