I’d be one of the people who you’d be referring too. I logged online tonight to check my emails because I’ve not been online lately due to some unexpected family related issues that required urgent attention.
I’d drop into JC when I’m online, which isn’t as often as I’d maybe like but that’s life.
This place has changed over the years, and reading between the lines, it wouldn’t be the place it used to be imo. I see that there are still some old regs left, the dying breed. Don’t see many new members names, but if there are any, they’re normally oldies repackaged. In saying that – newbies had a habit of getting hounded off the forum as soon as they had their feet on the floor so I wouldn’t wish for a JC welcome if I was them – sad but true. Maybe that’s changed over recent times and they don’t get hounded? but I doubt it somehow. If some would wind their neck in and not take online life so serious, there’s plenty of room for all.Just my tuppence!

I don’t use chat anywhere near as much as i used to,for about 2 years i was in for a few hours every day,now i don’t think i use it a few hours a week,i don’t think it makes me more sensible or better than any foooka,i just got pi/ssed off with all the idiot namechangers who think it’s smart to go in stirring trouble,it used to get me angry at first but in the end i just found it borin and slighly confusin as to why people get pleasure out of wantin to spoil it for others and that coupled with the thought of them havin a good old ham shank :shock: at the attention they were gettin off the rest of the chatters(and sure as eggs are eggs,wont be a guide to be seen,well not one that gives a shyte) ….. well it’s enough to make anyone want to leave,sad really i know,lettin sad foookas bore me into submission but hey ho – do i miss it? – nope :D ,I do miss some of the regular long winded chats and banter i used to have with a few of the chatters but i still do have it only to a lesser extent,maybe for a full 10 minutes a day or summat like that,just about enough time for a nob head to work his way out of the woodwork and send me to sleep again,and i aint the only one who got bored with it….. so i suppose in a way some would still class me as a “reg” but i don’t see it that way now.
JC done me a favour i do admit =D> :D but Martin you’re welcome to your”man in stockings” :roll: and such like and i’ll keep to me short visit a day and let others get bored rigid by the few sad losers who go in to cause trouble.
well at least you two have been honest, but the points you have raised are nothing new. And if anything its old original regs who keep this place goin and stand up to the “baddies” lol.
Im more on about those who pop in once in a blue moon and post when they’ve had a beer (or splif) and go “o….. it aint changed much what you all still doin here”… when they are here typing too… its downright patronisation, and hypocritical to say the least!
Ive said before, Ive read loads of archives on here and know that these people used to post as much as the next person AND enjoy it.

Yes, Sharon, you’re right. It IS patronising and absurd in equal measure, after all if these clowns were genuine in their opprobrium, then they wouldn’t be returning – however brielfy – to deliver their tracts of contempt.
It’s more about bolstering their own flagging identities and sorry egos. Best to be regarded with disdain at least or amusement at most. They come, they go, who really gives a terrapin’s toss?Ok I know this is not what you meant sharon, but just to pick up on a point by *GG* about newbies.
I am a reg of f2, we have a laugh and a banter and I take it for what it is chatroom chat. nothing more nothing less.
I have asked a few of the f2ers why they don’t use the boards, one of them said recently “justchatboards? Dont you mean f3 boards” This is not the first time I have heard similar responses.
My point being for a first time user of the boards, it can be quite intimidating as everything on the boards centres around f3’ers, which is quite understandable as you have all been using the boards for years and have got to know each other.
I see newbies coming onto the boards they get a welcome, then thats it. Maybe if you brought them more into your topics, where a bit more welcoming. More people would join.
I myself dont join in any of the cliques and just do my own thing (in f2chat and on here). I come here for a laugh a bit of banter.
The only people i have really seen on here who aren’t actually part of the f3 clique and involve themselves more with other topics is sharongooner and pebbles.
I just think if others followed there suit then it would encourage more new users.

I do the radio quiz, but so does Shaz and some othersNot everyone on these boards use F3, plus not everyone on these boards use the chatrooms either, I dont really, neither does Shaz, Pete, Pebbles, PP, errrmmm names ppl plz????? Actor? dont think he does. There are loads that use the boards that dont go in the rooms.

Ok maaybe I didn’t get my point across properly (im not very good at doing that :D)
What I mean is the regs on the board (if they use chatrooms or not) could be a bit more welcoming to the newbies that come along, maybe get them more involved in your topics and such.Ok one more point.. if the radio quiz is for all..and the admin of this site are trying to encourage users from different forums, then why has no details of the quiz and discussions about the quiz been made in the f2 and f1 forums?.
