11 August, 2008 at 10:59 am #327281A really really terrible nights sleep. Went to bed at about 12.45… Dave back at work so he went at 10, had to be up at 3… still wide awake when he went, then neighbours all saying goodbye to people at sillyoclock (its ok when we do it by the way).. then the neighbourhood fox started barking really loudly, and I worried cos he attacked my oldest cat a couple weeks ago, and I knew baby ginger was out there somewhere…. dog was restless too, she kept getting up…. then heard those household noises where your convinced that if you hear another there is definately an intruder… fell into a horrid dream where someone set my folks house on fire and tried to stab dave… woke up and had to make myself stay awake (not hard by this time) so as not to continue the nightmare…. then loud neighbour shouting goodbye at 6.45 and shouting her son right outside my window…
thats the last time I go to bed without a drink.

12 August, 2008 at 6:34 pm #327283I gave £2 to someone collecting for the British Heart Foundation and as per usual, got a sticker that allowed me to walk past all the others. But here’s the thing – some little kid put 10p in and also got a sticker. How’s that fair? I should’ve been given loads of them if that’s the way they’re operating

Are you Scottish by any chance?

Someone clearly hasn’t been paying attention. But fair play for rolling out the same comment that I’ve heard countless times, it never loses it’s comic value. It’s that kid that’s the tight one – probably wasn’t even his money either.
