Well, you did ask…. “So, on a personal level, what does freedom mean to you?”…Because my interpretation does not match what you believe it should, you cop out….but hey ho, to coin a phrase of your`s.
I have no problem with your interpretation of your personal freedom, I simply ask that if you wish to go into the woes of the world and the way it functions that it should be the subject of a different thread. That is not a cop-out, but if you don’t wish to start that thread in the same way that you didn’t wish to start this thread, that is your choice.
As for your interpretation not matching what I believe it should, I don’t have any preconceptions of what your personal freedom should be, hence asking the question.
You were the one that dismissed my interpretation of personal freedom because it didn’t match what you believe it should with this response

Pot and kettle methinks.
You will never be Free within the boundaries i have described… You are enslaved to a system that only each and every one of you can break Free from only by disconnecting from it…Unfortunately, the vast majority of our citizens are now so far indoctrinated and CONTRACTED, they wouldnt recognise “true Freedom” if it slapped them in the face…You are of course all Free to carry on in your self delusion that you are indeed Free

There you go then, I’ll be a happy little slave within my own definition of personal freedom
btw the purpose of the thread was not to beat others into submitting into one person’s definition of freedom but to explore what personal freedom meant to each person without judgement.

And proceeded to tell everyone else that they will never be free within your boundaries, your definition, thereby passing judgement. Heaven forbid that someone’s definition may be different from yours yet still acceptable within this world.
10 August, 2010 at 2:06 pm #445582As you fail to accept the connection between corporatism and Freedom while being bound by it, i believe my perception is absolutely correct….In my opinion of course Does red suit me ?
