We all have something we miss……whether it be a person…..a place…………a time………or whatever…………so plz share………..What do you miss????
I miss this……………….
I miss taking my shoes off and walking through the water ………..catching the minnows, then sitting on the bridge drying my feet……….having lunch on the bench listening to the bulrushes at the back of the pond rustling in the breeze……….I will always miss this place.
I miss this but I have the happy memories :D
Long summer days on the beach, feeling the soft golden sand between my toes, body-surfing the waves, playing beach cricket. Mam (or someone else’s mother – they took it in turns) turning up at lunchtime with sandwiches and if we were lucky, some money to get fresh hot doughnuts from the beach shop…then later, dad coming to join us straight from work. If money was good then fish and chips from the the beach chip shop then as the sun went down the short walk home and to bed…until the next day when we did it all again :D
And Christmas Day, post Christmas dinner, walking along the prom as the wind blew the cobwebs away. Others doing the same, some walking the dog, some with children riding their new bikes or on the roller skates that Father Christmas had brought, all of us with rosy cheeks and smiling at strangers, wishing them a merry christmas.
Then New Years Eve…waiting for the passing ships to sound their horns at midnight, signalling the new year, looking across towards the lights of Mumbles, making our wishes for the next 12 months.
I miss me…. the little girl that was me. I don’t expect anyone to understand… its what I miss though.
I miss my someone special…….always have………always will ♥
