I got myself a computer so I could design a cover for the Hinckley United FC programme.
Eventually, after doing a website for them, I became the editor of the programme and loved it.

When doing the website I looked around to see what other teams were doing and visited the Welling United site.
They had one of those mulitcity chatboxes and I was impressed.
I remember chatting with someone and asking them where they were from.
“The USA” they said. Well, being a bit naive I said “no way” and told them to stop taking the piss. Yes, I was stupid back then.

On one site I got chatting to a nice woman who took me to another site which was run by a guy called Geoff (sword).
We hit it off quite well…we both had the same sense of humour.
I lost touch with Geoff but a couple of years later decided to get back in touch.

He had a friend called Temptress and they both recommended JC to me.
That was before the message boards were around.

Geoff and I went our own ways which was a shame as we were quite close at one time.
That’s how I came to JC.

Have no idea how I got here, but nothing brought me to it. Was at the end of living in the USA and was missing some good old English/British ‘humour’!! I ‘found’ both JC and UKChat but I didn’t really like UKChat much, I don’t think it is available nowadays. Anyway was just chatrooms here then, about 2002. Found 30 something and the first two I ‘spoke’ to were Kateee and, as she was then, Lady Godiva. Have to say it was great fun back then and not to much dissenting from old Geoffers! :wink:

So those I still remember from then until the MB started up include; Dawny, Cat, Temptress, Rosie, Sir Actor, Miche, Bonny… bloody hell I’ve forgotten most now! There were loads and it was fun. I can be blamed for starting the first quiz in the chatroom back then, but they got banned because the room kept crashing from to many users!

Be nice to have a ‘sesh’ from 6 years ago again.
