Lettuce contains considerable amount of iron and supplies a good form of vegetable haemoglobin. It can, therefore, be used as a good tonic food for anaemia. The iron obtained in this way is absorbed by the body to a much greater degree than the inorganic iron tonic.
 Ok fine you eat lettuce then will to help increase iron levels.
I’ll stick to spinach, broccoli, sprouts, liver, even the odd half of Guniness etc & see who’s diet gets the better haemaglobin increase.
Never met a medic yet that has suggested eating lettuce as food rich in iron. :P
