8 July, 2008 at 11:59 pm #352038this is really sick, but I’ll share it lol
when I was 15 I worked as a saturday girl in BHS in the restaurant.
I used to eat the left over unsold stuff at the end of the day. We had to throw it in the bin ffs, and Id be starving so as my job was the salad bar, Id get a big spoon and dip into the coleslaw bowl and have a huge spoonfull to myself.
If the hotplate grannie werent looking Id sneak the unsold sausages and chips too.
they hadnt been anywhere but it was deemed a crime….
A girls gotta eat.
we even got told how to slice a tomato so nobody gets the stakly bit…. they were VERY peculier in there I tell ya.

If people waste less food, then, in turn, they’ll buy less in the first place and that will only add to the gathering pace of the recession. I thought Brown knew a bit about economics!!!
No not really.. less demand puts down prices giving you more money to spend elsewhere in the economy other than the food industry, I think thats where he’s coming from.
I dont like the guy personally but he knows his economic stuff. -
