No. I spend ALL my money on my kids. Not that its any of your business. 8)

If you had kids and knew how much child benefit is you would know that it does not even make a dent in what it costs to care and love your children. I wouldnt half miss not having it though.I choose to earn my own money so my children have a better quality of life. My choice. Now go and bother somebody else, Im not gonna keep justifying myself to a complete stranger. I have cigarettes and alcohol waiting for me. :P

My sons are in numerous after school clubs, my eldest has guitar lessons every week and my youngest will be having violin lessons after xmas… child benifit doesn’t even cover those costs. I smoke and drink, paid for out of my own wages 8)

Didnt someone say earlier that child benefit was originally given out so that parents could afford to buy shoes for their children?

Guitar and violin lessons dont quite have the same ring of desperation to them

Which begs the question, should every parent be given child benefit if it appears that they dont actually need it :?: I think each case should be assessed seperately, and if child benefit is provided, it should be in the form of vouchers for food or essential clothing etc.
