So you were around in the 1920’s and 30’s? Wow, that makes you about 100, have you got your letter from Her Majesty The Queen yet ?
I have my letter from Queen Victoria.
I have been around for a lot longer than 100 years.
But jazz here seems defined pretty loosely – why not?
This is a fave, from Stardust by Hoagy Carmichael. The perfect song, about remembering a kiss from someone (not Queen Victoria) a long time ago.
Louis Armstrong at his best – he throttled the tune and twisted the words to produce a different sort of perfection.
