Keeping the Marvin Gaye theme going,. here’s a track from his 1972 film soundtrack album Trouble Man. The track T Plays it Cool is seminal in the later evolvement of Funk, Electro- Funk, Disco and Hip Hop, and has been sampled many times, in particular the very funky drumming from Marvin himself.
The second track is Alicia Keys’ live version of the title track Trouble Man.
The third, is one of many Marvin tributes, this being the best I know of, My Dear Mr Gaye by Teena Marie.
Let’s liven it up a bit ……..
