Apart from the power plug being different, which is not a problem because you can just plug it in too a shaver 2 pin socket type of plug, there is no difference with them and no reason Nintendo should refuse to let them German retailers sell to the UK.
I know someone who had one brought over from Germany and its perfectly fine and working.Which is exactly what we did ‘Nita. 8)

I got a Wii from Amazon.de back in November – no problems in ordering or receiving the item.
