Jumping to conclusions is based on very little fact and can occur in two ways. The first way is through “mind-reading,” which is when we believe that others are negatively judging and evaluating us. The second way we jump to conclusions is through “fortune-telling,” in which we predict a negative future outcome. Either way, when jumping to conclusions, we are always assuming the worst.

Do you expect the worse out of people and situations? Do you often believe that others don’t like you?

You’re sounding a little paranoid there about other’s not liking you.
Who’s upset you? tell aunty surrey ha..
But I do expect the worse from people because that’s what I’ve usually had in life.
So expecting the worse, you don’t have any illusions and don’t get too bothered when it
all goes pear shaped. But if something good happens, then you can see it as a bonus :)

Better off sticking to bric a brac and tat xx

    Well Auntie Surrey haha

It was the jumping to conclusions part that interested me as it seems quite prevalent on here. There is a reason for everything we do.

As for the not being liked, well im used to that as ive had many a good punch up on a sunday morning with an 80 year old over a troika coffin vase.

Expect nothing of the day and you won’t be disappointed.

Thats a very positive outlook Panda

I suppose if you expect the worse then things can only get better unless you suffer the worst that is.

Been a while since I had a fight over a troika vase I can tell you, with all the programmes on now its more a bundle over a wade whimsey…lol

And yes I often jump to conclusions, gotta keep the mind active at my age

Its getting desperate out there now surrey. I remember a couple of years ago selling a board game for 50p and this couple came up to my stall opened the box and physically counted everything, counters, dice, plastic mice and even examined the board for scuffs. Then had the cheek to offer me 20p for it

Good job i kept it in mint condition after playing with it

Yes I know that one..I had a middle aged couple recently enquired about the price of a couple of rare Disney wades which I only wanted £15 each for. So they decided to nick them instead..!!Bastards..

Wonders what conclusions are being jumped at?

I agree with panda… expect nothing of the day and you wont be disappointed… its so easy to get paranoid here though…..and to give the wrong impression, I try not to upset people although I know I have… but not intentionally or even knowing what I did?… oh well,,, you cant please everyone :?
