In the last couple of days ive been getting a virus warning keep popping up on my computer.
It reads…..F-Secure Anti-Virus
Malicous Code Found In File C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32WININET.DLL.
Infection: Virus. Win32.Nsag.b
Action: failedNow its all fine and dandy that my anti-virus programme takes the time and effort to inform me of this attack but does it have to do it once ever two mins or so grrrrrrrr.
Any help greatly appreciated….. :D although not in kind before u ask Tommy…

8 October, 2006 at 6:22 pm #243737Reet…… Ive ran a full manual virus check (twice) which has searched out and deleted all viruses (apparantly) and ive ran every type of spyware defender known to man and ive still got the same problem.
Ive tried looking for the file in question but I cant find it. System32 exists but not the file WININET.DLL.

Just spent the last hour trying to download and open the free version. HELLPPPPPPPPPPP MEEEEEE PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…… :|
P.S. and even if i do manage to open the file its telling me that it might be dangerous to my computer to do so. All I fecking need grrrrrrrrrrr
9 October, 2006 at 2:21 pm #243740Ok…. ive moved on a bit…… not far…. but a bit.
When i download the software to my computer it is delivered in a zip file.
It automatically puts it into this file on my computer
C/documents and settings/my name/local settings/temporary internet files/contentIES/wininet.dll
When I click onto my zip program to unzip it i click onto browse and this is as far as i get.
C/documents and settings/my name/local settings/
Then there is no tempory internet files so i cant go any further which consequently means I cant unzip the file
Is this making any sense to anybody or am i just rambling to myself…. 8-[

If you run a virus check, you need to do it in “safe mode”, the virus is loading each time windows loads its drivers and unless its windows is running with min drivers, you will never remove it.
Restart the computer in safe mode and run the virus check again.
9 October, 2006 at 2:23 pm #243742How do i start my computer in “safe mode”… :?
9 October, 2006 at 2:25 pm #243743push f7 or f8 when the computer starts or is it f6?
