After a convivial chat with a long standing invisible member tonight they encouraged me to spill a few past stories.
One that sticks in my mind was from years ago when the internet was clunky and we could trace ips and I only had one stomach!
I had a spread sheet in those days of offenders, now I couldn’t even see to read one!
God I had to wrack my brains for the name of the spammer and think it was Vegeta. An unattractive ginger bloke who wreaked havoc in one of the forums. Think he went by other names but they escape me for me now.All us young nubile guides were out to get rid of him. I asked Martin’s permission to ring his mum once we’d traced him, somewhere in Ireland. He thought it would be good for the room to get rid of him if it was possible so rang Vegeta’s mum.
She answered and I explained how foul and abusive he had been in the forum. She sounded a nice lady but as I was talking to her could hear her shouting at Vegeta and what I imagined was she entered his bedroom because I heard a slap which I imagined was round his head shouting and swearing at him “To be sure you little bastard what do you think you are doing” !
He shouted ” Get off me”!
His mother was very apologetic and said she would sort him out. We didn’t see Vegeta for a while after that and the spamming stopped! We giggled at his fall down.
He came back though with a vengence !
That’s parenting for you!
