parents who give teens free reign in the house wile they go away deserve all they get. my two are 22 and 18 and i wont even leave them at home alone. if we want a weekend away i get a friend to house sit so they dont go wild and destroy my home. stupid people have stupid kids and these two vere very stupid.

I trust my daughter.. you obviously don’t trust your children. Trust and respect are two things my daughter understands. She would never destroy my home, or have friends who would want to destroy it either. My daughter is not stupid.

    Stupidity begins at home.

i do trust my kids. its not they that are the problem. both of my kids are quite responsible and both have good grounding however put a group of teens together add loud music, alcohol and no responsible adult and you get carnage. its calles a risk assessment in business. and you wouldnt leave a drunk in charge of a bar, nor would i allow twenty of my kids mates free reign in my home, as all of their friends are not as well grounded as mine are. you can have a saint for a child but they can have a demon for a friend and once the ball is rolling and the party txt is flyin its too late to stop it as is shown every time some poor beggars home is trashed. and i havent got my head that far up my arris that i think my two are angels. they respect me one hundred percent as do most of their friends but as you have seen its not the ones you know that count is it ?

It’s down to the parents if they wish to leave their child alone for the evening but suffer the consequences. Me personally, I wouldn’t.

I don’t know the full story in this case but surely it is useless parents who have brought up a child that can’t be left alone at 15! At this age they are almost adults and it is rediculous that they need to be treated like 5 year olds. Shame on the parents who have molly coddled their children so much that at age 15 they can’t even make themselves a cup of tea and slice of toast, let alone be trusted to keep themselves safe for a few hours or even overnight!

Well said. =D> Trust takes time to build, but a healthy attitude, some old-fashioned common sense, go a long long way. How would a child who has been wrapped in cotton wool ever get on in the adult world? You do have to let your children find their feet, within acceptable boundaries and as long as all concerned know these boundaries, then things should be fine.
