Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware
Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) is a security technology that helps
protect Windows users from spyware and other potentially unwanted
software. Known spyware on your PC can be detected and removed. This
helps reduce negative effects caused by spyware, including slow PC
performance, annoying pop-up ads, unwanted changes to Internet
settings, and unauthorized use of your private information. Continuous
protection improves Internet browsing safety by guarding more than 50
ways spyware can enter your PC. Participants in the worldwide SpyNet™
community play a key role in determining which suspicious programs are
classified as spyware. Microsoft researchers quickly develop methods to
counteract these threats, and updates are automatically downloaded to
your PC so you stay up to date.http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/about.mspx
This is a Beta (test) version and as such is unsupported by Microsoft.20 February, 2005 at 6:51 pm #30862
OpD2d – Direct to disk audio recorderThis is a very simple little audio recording application. It can be used to
easily record anything you can get into your soundcard direct onto your
hard disk. You might also have noticed that it’s got a bit of an odd
interface.
It was originally written to make use of the Yamaha SW1000 XG
soundcard’s ability to record the digital audio that it’s playing. This is a
really useful feature that combined with this app means I can record
streaming audio from the internet direct to my hard disk, then burn it
onto CD.
It now turns out that this feature is built into Windows XP. So anyone with
a Windows PC can record audio to their heart’s content.http://www.opcode.co.uk/opd2d/default.asp
From version 1.3 of OpD2d, it’s possible to use BladeEnc.DLL to record
direct to an MP3 file.
Important: Because of various copyright and patent laws (thank you
Fraunhofer/Thomson), we can’t include the compiled version of the MP3
encoder in the OpD2d installer.
However, it is very easy to find. For instance, you could try here:http://www2.arnes.si/~mmilut/BladeEnc.html
http://bladeenc.mp3.no/skeleton/DL.htmlOnce you’ve downloaded it, uncompress it and put the resulting
BladeEnc.dll file in the same directory as OpD2d.exe.30 March, 2005 at 3:46 am #30863JellyFish Light 3.5 Freeware
A really good Backgammon game for your pc. It does lack some of the
features of the paid for version, but none of the skill levels are lacking.9 April, 2005 at 10:36 pm #30864dbpowerAMP Music Converter

1 May, 2005 at 7:50 pm #30869Mr Dagger, I don’t know what is causing your pc to run more slowly.
My pc is also running more slowly because I’ve switched my anti-virus
software from AVG to Avast.
I can only suggest you uninstal Windows Antiospyware and see if that remedies the problem.
But first of all I’d run the tests at:
