Hi all,
My daughter has a sony vaio its about 8 months old,
she now gets a black screen but will light up if she runs her back up disc,
the fan and motor runs and the power lights etc light up she cannot access the internet at all, i did think it could be the inverter wires but with it lighting up with the cd makes me think otherwise,can anyone suggest anything? thankyou.Goodness only knows what “inverter wires” are. It sounds as though your daughter has somehow managed to completely wipe out her installation of Windows.

The inverter wires are what runs from the lcd to the mother board but yes she had wiped out her installation of windows :roll: kids, installed her brothers discs as they are both on windows vista and told her to contact sony thankyou anyway :wink:
So is your issue now fixed??? (or can we offer you any more assistance?)
