I get the feeling this was out of concern for the Libyan public If the exports stop then the Libyan public will suffer even more than they already are.

Yes – let them get on with it and sort it out for themselves! It’s about time the West stopped patronising these countries and imposing our will on them. If the rebels want help, let them ask for it or do you want to see more British troops kidnapped? Doesn’t that fact tell you something?

Oh, and even if the West does go in to “help” it will end up with more innocent civilians being killed – last week 9 children were killed in Afghanistan by Western troops… :roll:
