Upcoming Holidays and the Animal Kingdom

Like many here, I too have a great deal of love and compassion for the animal kingdom.

As fall will approach us shortly, I do my so called fall cleaning and get my old worn blankets out, pillows, towels and deliver to local animal shelters.

I literally cry when leave these shelters wanting to take every pet home and find placement for them. Of course the younger do find good homes. Anything over two does not… and you look in their eyes see the loneliness, heartache so to speak.

I do believe strongly in that term, “Dog or cat human best friend, family.” They really don’t complain, look to you for love as we all look to them. Love also unconditionally. Not cruel, nasty but there for you when you down, ill, feeling truly alone.

But holidays soon will be upon us. I hear many say going to get pet for xmas for the kid, or myself.. I merely suggest in my opinion, that you seriously think of being a pet owner, or new one. Weigh out and consider your lifestyle first before you get for the kids. They make promises, you become the owner eventually as your child may give up all responsibility of owning a pet… consider if it durable to continue your lifestyle and be a owner of a pet. You know animals suffer on people’s fast decisions, than rejections later. Not believe me, go to an animal shelter and look in those cages, or wonder what happens when they don’t find a home.

Being an animal owner requires attention to. So please think over your decision first before you become an animal owner.
