    Hi :D

Sometimes you need to uninstall a Driver because of corruption or if a new Driver is not meant to be over wright the existing one.
    To Uninstall a Driver
Click >Start >Settings >Control Panel >System >Hardware >Device Manager in the window you will see a list of devices on your PC on the left of there names you will see a box with a +, the one next to the device that you wish to uninstall the drivers from click it and in the drop down double click on the devices name and a window will open, at the top >Driver as fig 1. I used the USB as an example but this will also apply to say a Graphics Card, at the bottom > uninstall and follow prompts (NOTE only uninstall a Driver if you have a replacement) (new Driver to install), or if its a Windows produced Driver witch will be generated at boot

Good tip Fizz, I try to avoid driver install error by keeping this box checked, not all drivers have passed the microsoft ‘genuine driver’ test and this will warn users if they are worried about this happening, alternatively you can check the block option, graphics drivers are the worse ones if they go wrong.
If you are worried however about messing with drivers after a bad install/uninstall a system restore in XP or Vista will take care of this, if you have WY2K re-booting to LKGC (last known good configuration)using the install disc is the other option

    Happy Days!

Its here for those that wish to take a sneak at it

    Control panel/system/hardware tab/Driver Signing button.
