The article in your original post is based on the opinions of Richard Corbett.
Corbett is a former Labour MEP who lost his seat to a BNP candidate.
These days he has brown-nosed his way into a job as an EU civil servant on pay of £80,000+ per year. His job is dependent on the UK being a member of the EU. He is an anti-UKIP propagandist serving an institution that UKIP wants to disband. It’s hardly surprising that he is trying to portray UKIP MEPs as racist is it..?
Read this:
“Nigel Farage (UKIP MEP since 1999, leader of the UKIP group of MEPs in the European Parliament since 2004; former UKIP Chairman, 1998-2000 and cofounder, UKIP) told former UKIP leader Dr Alan Sked “We will never win the nigger vote. The nig-nogs will never vote for us”,” according to Dr Sked.9
Who is Dr Sked? He is the former UKIP leader.
The number 9 refers to the footnote.
What is the reference for footnote no. 9?
It is:
9 The Mail on Sunday, 6 June 2004.
Hardly Corbett’s opinion is it?
More like coming straight from the horse’s mouth.
Mr Sked was a politician and let’s face it, all politicians are honest and truthful to the core are they not?
More importantly, he was once the leader of UKIP.
Like I said, if Farage didn’t say those words, why hasn’t he sued?
Is this the article you’re referring to..?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-382031/Cameron-stands-UKIP-racist-jibe.html
It’s all political posturing in the end. Did he or didn’t he say it? There is no substantial evidence to prove it either way.
As I’ve already said; Corbett was (and still is..) a hitman for the EU bureacrats who want to dirty Farage’s name.
If you go on youtube and search for Farage he’s definitely a big hitter in the anti-Europe brigade and has savaged Brown, Blair and various luminaries within the EU leadership. It’s not surprising he’s a target for Mr Corbett.

22 October, 2012 at 8:25 pm #513185I’m looking but found this in the meantime:
Expenses disclosure
In May 2009, The Guardian reported that Farage had said in a speech to the Foreign Press Association that over ten years as a member of the European Parliament he received £2 million of taxpayers’ money in staff, travel, and other expenses on top of his £64,000 a year salary.[29]
The former Europe Minister, Denis MacShane, said that this showed that Farage was “happy to line his pockets with gold”. Farage called this a “misrepresentation”,[30] pointing out that the money had been used to promote UKIP’s message and staff salaries, not his own salary, but he welcomed the focus on the issue of MEP expenses, claiming that “[o]ver a five year term each and every one of Britain’s 78 MEPs gets about £1 million. It is used to employ administrative staff, run their offices and to travel back and forth between their home, Brussels and Strasbourg.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Farage#Expenses_disclosure
And this:
“In 2000, the European Parliament ordered UKIP to repay £11,500 of expenses. The party had diverted surplus travel expenses to fund the failed court cases of the ‘metric martyrs’, market traders who were taken to court for refusing to display metric measurements alongside imperial ones when selling their wares. Nigel Farage MEP has since repeated UKIP’s intention to use parliamentary expenses “to further the objectives of UKIP back in Britain”.

No, I said I’m not signing up to login into the Mail on Sunday archive.
The article – it’s dated Sunday 6th June 2004, as cited in Corbett’s article and it is cited here as well:

22 October, 2012 at 9:04 pm #513189This is interesting:
Jasna Badzak:
A former UKIP staffer and parliamentary candidate at the last general election claims to be writing a book revealing dodgy goings-on at the core of the party – having branded her defection from the Conservatives “the biggest mistake of my life“.Jasna Badzak defected to UKIP in 2008, along with a swathe of Tories from Westminster, and stood in the Westminster North constituency in the 2010 elections. She then worked for six months as a press officer in the London office of MEP Gerard Batten.
In a series of messages on Twitter, Badzak has claimed that she will be making revelations about the alleged racism and corruption of top UKIP figures.

23 October, 2012 at 7:14 am #513190Panda, Mrs T,
keep up the good work, Panda. Terry is reduced to smears and insults.
Mrs T, you take a sober approach to listening to argument before you vote. In the end teh argument – the sole argument of the UKIP and more importantly the Tory Right – is to leave the EU.
There have been many crises on the UK’s relations with the EU, but this time it feels different. Cameron is disengaging the UK from Europe – it’s already started and is accelerating with some force (look for news of summits in the next couple of months). For the first time since we joined, the Uk looks set to leave the EU in the next few years or become very marginal (I can say why but this post would get too long)
Basically we really have no clue as to what life would be like if it happened. It’s a major step in the dark, but the outlook really does not look pleasant, whether out or marginalised.
A careful understanding is going to be needed, and the ‘nig nog’ haters of the UKIP are not the people I would trust with such a major change in my life, or my family’s life. Like the vile Sked and Farage, they react with jokes, smears and evasions when it comes to discussing Europe. Terry seems very representative of them in that respect.

Mr Scept, you’ve tried your best to smear me because you think that is the best way of supporting your own feeble arguments with regards to our membership of the EU.
According to you I’m a BNP sympathiser. Really..? It’s not the kind of argument any decent, trustworthy debater would use unless he had a failed set of beliefs that really don’t stand up to scrutiny.
You’ve since apologised for that remark and rightly so.
In the past you’ve applauded Gordon Brown and George W Bush for their brand of politics and achievements so I really wonder how’ve you’ve got this rather shortsighted view of life in the 21sr century and that everything you say is right and should never be questioned.
When I read your views it’s clear to me that you – nor the BNP – have no real grasp of politics other that of your own blinkered viewpoint.
There is a life outside the EU – a life of self determination and democracy – and we will all be better off without these unelcted beaurocrats that shape our lives and our future whilst lining their own pockets with our money.
