The show was totally sold out up to about may, but my bf got some tickets off ebay and only paid face value which was 60 quid. I went on line and booked a hotel and train tickets and we were away! Weather forecast was shi.t, they said heavy snow  but luckily it was ok, bitter cold though! Went saturday morning and came back sunday night. Saw the show saturday on my birthday, it was brill. Went with 2 other girls and they both bought Jonny bears complete with shades and dirty dancing leather jackets 8) , i was so tempted to buy a skinny t-shirt which said ” i carried a water melon” but thought nahh I’ll never wear it :)

Penny and johnny were by far the best on stage, both were amazing dancers.

Its amazing what they can do on a small stage, they even did the scene in the water, using a kind of screen with effects – it was well impressive. Deffo recommend it Shaz.

promo vid here if you want a taster of the live show

Your right it is amazing what they can do on a small stage these days, thats why all the big ones are sell outs.

Me mums still trying for Joseph as far as I know. She better hurry up though, grans 80 now

I would like to see DD with me mates as Dave aint into it, though he will sit through it when I watch it.

Sounds like you had a great birthday weekend x

seems that youre in the same predicament as me, bf can take it or leave it….ie if i want him to come along i have to buy the tickets and he’ll sit there next to me :)

Prefer going to these things with the lasses cos they appreciate it more and we have more of a laugh 8)

I’d love to go and see it.. but at that price…F**k that! I want a t shirt that says “I carried a watermelon” tho. I was trying to find one earlier this month as i almost dressed up as Baby to a film star fancy dress. I bought a watermelon…. so it became the birthday water melon (i actually went as princess leia)

Its the whole train/hotel/ticket price that gets me :( but for a birthday weekend its pretty good stuff and worth it. I like to celebrate with as many people as poss. One has a milestone coming up… and i’d feel wrong not having a massive party.
