It seems that human consciousness, and the ability to reason, appreciate beauty, discover scientific principles, etc. is not necessary for survival and points to something, or someone, outside of ourselves, i.e., God.
No it does not. How have you reached this conclusion?
Observation that animals don’t need those things to survive, and reasoning that human beings are predestined for more than survival.

Let’s just suppose there is no God for a moment, how else could we explain these things you refer to? Can Science help?

I read that today. It is the future though. Amazon are apparently testing drones to bring those parcels etc.

Animals don’t survive , humans are more evolved and kill them with traits such as “reason, discovery” enabling them to reason what will kill them for food and discovering weapons to do so . This doesn’t point to any “God”, just humanity being top of the food chain of evolution with these characteristics you portray as evidence of God when it points infact to the opposite.
