day 18 and still no cigarette has been smoked. I decided to pack it in without the use of patches or gum, and so far it has worked. I am still going to the pub as usual on the weekends, that is difficult. But i am not going to let my life stop just cause i have decided to give something up. i think i am finding it easier because my sisters b/f has given up too, and we have sort of turned it into a little competition. He does’nt want to lose to me and i don’t want to lose to him. But we are still encouraging each other, so it is all good. And i am planning to do the Dublin marathon and the great noth run this year!!!

I think when the no smoking laws come in, that some of you will find it easier not to smoke, even at the pub, as all the pubs will be no smoking so it will be easier. :?

I agree Dawny I am a smoker and completely support and agree with the new no smoking laws. I dont believe others should have to breath in my toxic fumes (at least I choose to do so).

Ive been thinking of attempting to stop smoking again for quite some time but im at the stage where im making excuses that the time isnt right maybe now my social life has picked up and i am mixing with non smokers more this will give me the incentive i need!
