You’re making it up as you go along. The EU has not negotiated any deal with Trump. They were negotiating TTIP with Obama, and trump pulled the rug under it.
Bullshit. France indicated they would veto TTIP long before Trump was elected.
You really are ignorant Sceptical. Truly ignorant. Every issue you raise regarding a trade deal with the USA has already been previously negotiated by the EU over four years and the conclusion TTIP. When the EU do it, it’s good, when “right wing tories” do it, it’s bad.
But there is no TTIP, Gerry.
I think you’ve lost contact with reality.
Doesn’t matter what it is, the usual personal attacks and then make it up.
TTIP isn’t there, Gerry. It was never negotiated.
19 October, 2018 at 10:02 pm #1108190You did not explain what it was about at all !!! until I challenged you on it being misleading which it was ! Now you’ve been rude yet again, I’m either ranting or talking from Fantasy Island. Fine ! End of Talks ! mehhhh…….
I explained it in the caption. And when you pointed out that it was written by Matt Groening in 1991 – something I made no attempt to disguise, I said it was still relevant and explained its relevance. Nothing wrong with using cartoons from world war i and applying it to today, or anti-America First cartoons of 1940 and applying them to today _ I did that earlier in the thread.
If you show I’m wrong, I’ll apologise. But I look at it and look at it, I see no need for any apology because there was no attempt to mislead.
So show me in what way it’s misleading, or are you just intent on picking up any shyte and throwing it, no matter what, no matter how inaccurate, because someone happens to disagree with you politically?

You’re a wind up merchant, you just can’t resist it. You’d know all about personal attacks, you just do it more sly than anyone else. Now f*ck off and bully Moose some more.
Lol. Now your even claiming TTIP didn’t exist. Clown, you yourself have discussed it on these very boards.
You just stated Trump vetoed TTIP, you’re a bullshitter. France indictated they would veto TTIP long before Trump was elected. France vetoed TTIP because it gave American corporates the power to bypass government and privatise key public services and put in jeopardy workers’ and consumers’ rights, as well as environmental protections. That’s your beloved neoliberal, EU cartel for you. When the EU negotiate it’s good, when “right wing tories” negoatiate a similar deal, it’s bad.
19 October, 2018 at 10:21 pm #1108193A test of American support will be showing in about 3 weeks with the mid terms. You think they’ll be a success for Trump?? Could be.
The Democrat party has been acting insane for the last couple of months, I don’t think they will do well regardless of Trump being popular or not.
Well, there’s plenty of insanity to go around in US politics. Drac.
I’ve learned not to predict anything with certainty, just look at trends and make provisional points.
It looks as though the Democrats could win the House, but a lot less likely the Senate.
A lot of Americans don’t like Trump.
Many are holding their judgement. They’re worried by him – I was watching interviews with a Trump farmer in North Dakota – but glad that they don’t have to make their mind up yet. The guy certainly worries me.

Have you read anything about what is happening in Portland?

First the comment of your health care system..Trump interest..Are u really kidding me.. wow.. we have multiple issues with ours what makes u think has time for yours. Or cares..that your economy..your taxpayers issues not ours..
One farmer comment..millions hate Trump. Lol. True many disagree with his mannerisms…Trump helped the farmers economy with much help to hold them together and not fail them as they dying out.
Will Trump do well again. Yes indeed..
Foreign countries.. well I not sitting by listening to real chats or discussions on issues. Media does good job reporting negative information and fails to slip in the positive, or miss the facts that may make a difference why THINGS need to be done a certain way.. So I hold off some judgments till I am better informed and the whole picture represented..not portions.
No leader perfect..each of us pick our own independent battles..what we feel to pick on. We have a President..I put my faith and hope whom ever it is running my Country..my Leader..doing it for the people..rather than for personality like or dislike..get’s the job done…What benefits us..what secures us..helps us..That all I care about. We help other Countries more than the rest of the World..We pay more as well. When other Countries in need who they look to.. The good old U.S.A.
I recall strongly those chats with May. Televised. Trump said he made some suggestions, but up to her., he not tell her what to do.
We have good relationships as I understand with U.K. Trump tries to help..but his interest will always be for his American people.

Trump is interested in American first, and that means when he’s looking at Britain, he’s interested in how American companies can make money through the franchising system in the NHS. The Brits have been pushing parts of the NHS, education, prisons etc off to private companies interested only in profit for some time now. If there’s money to be made, Trump is not going to watch the grass grow under his feet.

The press and media here and in the USA like to choose represenative individuals to make their point. The Wall Street Journal made a habit of that when i used to read it, before the Dirty Digger Murdoch too over.
The midterms will be in three weeks. From what I gather, the Democrats are going to do well. But who knows? They thought Trump was going to lose in 2016, and he did (in terms of votes) but he won the presidency regardless. I certainly don’t rule out another victory for him in 202, though I so hope it doesn’t happen.
We have good relationships as I understand with U.K. Trump tries to help..but his interest will always be for his American people.
Well, for some of his American people.
But he won’t be putting British interests first in his trade dealings.
And US power is much much greater than Britain’s economic power.
Just saying.

No, I haven’t. I’m sure some bizarre things. I welcome the #metoo movement in its defence of women against sexual harassment, but it does and says things which are indefensible and dangerous to justice.
The Democrats have been strongly marked by identity politics for a long time now…but so have the Republicans – big business and rural American is their constituency. As one WASP (White Anglo-Saxon protestant) once said to an Italian-American. “It’s no you country. You’re only here on loan”. Identity politics is important all over there.
Bound to be, in a country made up of so many different ethnic and racial groups, each proud of its identity.
More worrying for me is the endorsement by left-wing Democrats and trades unions in the US of protectionist trade wars.

Portland is under occupation by Antifa, violence and property damage, and road blocks happens every day.
The police protect them, there are many videos of this online.
Many businesses have moved operations out of the city because they cannot guarentee the saftey of their employees and clients.

I completely disagree with everything about it.
Innocent until proven guilty must be the core pricipal of any legal system.
Evidence must be provided.

20 October, 2018 at 11:56 am #1108222Scep unlike u..when I was 18..I was given opportunity through the voting election process. I decided then..kept it ALL THESE YEARS NEVER EVER changing .. basically simple.. sides or a party. I was provided opportunity to be a democratic at that age, what that.?.a republican..what that? Working class. ? What that.. Conserative, what that..Independence party..what that? All at 18..No one at that age, has really worked in a field for awhile. NO one has own home at that age..or lived with knowledge of true government process. Any 18 year old tell me today they understand political process, party lines..has knowledge and experience at that age..I eat my own hat.. our youth listens to others. Conform with others. Sadly because of modern technology many here dont know what hand written script is..how to apply common sense..spell, use math proper unless with a computer..I not disrespecting or trying to say all..but pretty scary for me with this newer generation whom our future Presidents will ever be. Our youth work ethics very different as well. Many want the money, if dont like that or enough..they move from job to job..all about the money making.. so as the younger generation is encouraged to vote..bottom line..easily influenced..own real choice or decision..think not..go with the jones..expression. of course our future leaders go for their votes. They go for personality.. when I asked many why vote way do..response..my friend does..my parents do..my grandparents do…Why do you then want them for President? I am amazed not one tells me truly why..only what from what they hear…
As far as party lines..it is all about power and who has money to spread the word out. Our leaders here continuously change party lines to join them to get financial support..nominations. u dont think a little kiss arsing not involved in switching to a powerful party..get your voice heard. Give me a break..seen it many many times..
What President ever heee does not find trade to benefit needs not only for this Country, but also beneficial for other Countries and it’s needs as well.
Hillary basically stood up and said until Republicans get better..democratic blah blah blah. Simple..what does a f…n party line have to do with benefits I need..funds I need..services I need..party..all party line.
Forgive me in my own old fashion belief by our foundling fathers…for the people by the people..where do you see from them for the democratics..for the republicans.for … all b.s. power of the parties..
When I see a person try to make change. When I see improvements..when I feel little safe again..when I can pay my own medical expenses better again, real estate taxes..jobs again..I am going for the person who made change..not the friggin party..they bicker too much over simple..who has money and power..Trump has made impressions for all party lines. He not care. He wants results. So do I…
So as an INDEPENDENT all my life I decide..no party do I care about with my last dying breath.. My freedom to decide. No influence..My voice..my wishes..my needs too.. If a person can help my lifestyle be better dam right like his manners or not..I made choice..
Whew so there..follow your party. Lick them..and when they too fail you..let me know if have been perfect. End of day got everything u need…
