Have you seen recent news since yesterday. Proof coming out..many tried to destroy Trump’s possible presidency at that time. All being openly exposed now. Trump was in the middle of many who let things happen. Tried to take him down.

And there was lil ol me thinking the cartoon was funny, appealing to everyone.

According to a professor of American Politics talking on the radio, impeachment of Trump would more than likely take years,

Who was the US Professor, and on which radio show?

It took them only 3 months to impeach Clinton, from the initial vote to impeach through to the final vote – December, 1998 to February, 1999.

It was entirely political, based on dislike of Clinton. It was thrown out.

There is an independent investigation run by Robert Mueller. Trump and Fox News are doing everything to undermine it and to vilify him. If he finds anyting, then they may start the impeachment process.

    It’ll get thrown out.

    Where’s the problem?

if they’ve fallen off the stats how do you know many ?

CNN have done everything they can to undermine and vilify Trump.

I didn’t say it was a US professor, he was English, but a professor on American Politics, I forgot his name the minute I heard it, it was on the Jeremy Vine show ( prob not high brow enough) but he knew what he was talking about and wasn’t taking sides, just explaining things. I can try and find out his name if you don’t believe me and think I’m making it up  ( you don’t really want me to do that, do you ?)

Trump may not be impeached because of lack of political will ( in your opinion ) or he may not be impeached because despite millions being spent on digging they haven’t come up with anything for which he is guilty.

I also didn’t say the expert said it would take years, but that it would more than likely take years. I don’t know why, maybe him being an expert he has some insight into the political batting that would occur with this particular case.

I don’t need to take care at all, I’m merely repeating what was on the news about the employment in America.

I’m bowing out here as you are presenting your opinions as though they were facts again

    :bye:

Bit of your own opinion and adaptation is it ?  Matt Groening penned that in 1991, when George H W Bush (senior) was in office…. nothing to do with Trump !

I have said this before openly here..as well as rooms..as well as those I associate with in my life..all agree..not one disagree or feel different when said..regardless if you like Trumps personality or not.. we all agree he can be ruff…As our President..he did more in first year 18 months of office than any other President they are saying in past 20-25 years.. he has accomplished more than most quickly with out dragging on years as others have leaving it for next President. And you better believe those who not admit that he is doing a great job..criticize him most..secretly know he doing a darn good job. Just will not let others know..

Yes, entirely my adaptation and opinion, but precious little to do with Trump. I don’t even mention Trump.

Or rather I agree with the opinion of Noam Chomsky and Joseph Stiglitz (google them for their credential) that a post-Brexit Britain will be an economic satellite of the USA.

You think the US will put our interests first when it comes to competition. Trump stands for America First.

Yes, Matt Groening wrote this in 1991. It could have been written by Joe Hill in 1914. It applies to the way many Americans see themselves. Matt Groening is good, isn;t he?

I use the cartoon because I think it apples to the situation now. No crime in that, is there?? Or is there???

    Linda,

I stand with many millions of  Americans in having to disagree.

Donald Trump has made the Middle  East a more dangerous place by recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and withdrawing all economic aid from the impoverished people under siege in Gaza, flinging his contempt in the face of the Palestinian people in doing so.

Donald Trump has made the world a more dangerous place by renouncing the nuclear agreement with Iran, and trying to make all the other countries sanction Iran against their wishes by threatening to turn American economic punishments on them unless they do so.

Donald Trump has made the earth we live in a more dangerous place by withdrawing from the Paris Climate talks.

If you want to be taken in by the short-term gains of a sugar-rush of major tax-cuts for the wealthy ( a little of it spinning off to ordinary Americans) that’s up to you. The economy is certainly booming.  But for how long? He’s already aware that it’s not going to last long and is looking for his own appointment as Fed chairman as a scapegoat.

The trade war with China is a lose-lose position for everybody – Americans, Chines, the emerging markets which are getting badly hit in the currency markets, ruining Argentina, and threatening South Africa.

The threat to the pockets of us all is shown in the way that Trump is getting rid of all the regulations on banks set up after the 2008 financial crash. They’re getting ready to roar again, with similar results to 2008. The difference is that US banks now exercise a much more powerful hold on the world’s banks than they did in 2008. All the indications are that the danger of another major bang are in the works.

A test of American support will be showing in about 3 weeks with the mid terms. You think they’ll be a success for Trump?? Could be.

The Democrat party has been acting insane for the last couple of months, I don’t think they will do well regardless of Trump being popular or not.
