To be honest……none of my jokes can get in the way of serious discussion…..if one stops trying to have digs and just carries on regardless…..

As far as i know……this is a public message board……no user owns it so…..stop trying to……have a great night all and back to the serious discussion at hand…..

As for the discussion in hand……Kim is getting excited because the West is giving him loads of attention…..but as already maybe mentioned……if he loses it suddenly….will he go back on all negotiations?

The meeting between Kim and Trump has gone off with a major victory for Kim.

Trump could have achieved a lot. Kim had been frightened enough to insist on the meeting. His nuclear testing sites have apparently had a major accident, and he’s putting the ebst face on  bad job.

He came off with a major propaganda coup, and nice conessions. In return Trump got

    nothing.

A commitment by Kim to return US bodies and to the denuclearisation of Korea – which in Kim’s mind means lifting the US nuclear umbrella which covers South Korea.

Trump sees himself as a master deal-maker. He said yesterday that he was approaching the issue with a real estate frame of mind, and speculated on the possibilities of hotel building on the sandy beaches of North Korea.

Kim, a brutal dictator who has killed millions of his people, nodded and emerged with the better deal.

Ah well, let’s hope that human rights in North Korea will improve eventually, and that a genuine peace deal can be struck.

Meanwhile Trump, with his America First approach, prepares his trade war against everybody else. Trade wars are good, he says, we win them.

Money is power. Might is right. Gawd help us all.

    .

We’ll all be affected as the attempts to reduce global warming are reversed.

No we won’t, we will be long since dead. The earths life is finite anyway. If “global warming” brings it’s demise thousands of years after everyone on this board is dead , why should that concern you?

Your anti trump / anti EU/ anti right wing rhetoric grows tiresome. Trump has achieved what no other president has achieved and no one will convince me that the nuclear risk is not lower now due to face to face diplomacy contrary to past presidents hiding behind bureaucrats in offices. Before Trump took office, there was real risk or nuclear attacks, something I remember you writing about on here and now it’s ” gawd help us all”.

Every president/ prime minister is looking to put their country and it’s people “first” , why lambast Trump for something every leader does?

The destruction of the earth’s natural habitat, and its beauty, should concern everyone.

    erm..

every President has put the USA first, and every British PM has put Britain first – as they see it.

America First, like Britain First, is something else. A specific movement. See the cartoon from 1941. It’s the same idea, whihc has a long continuity on the US Far Right.

America First means that Trump is on the point of starting a trade war with Britain, though his peculiar personality can mean that anything will happen.

When the trade war starts, whose side are you on??

Morgan seems to have chosen his side, but I may be mistaken there.

Exactly right Q. As far as I know, no other president has ever met a leader of North Korea.

To be honest, I have never taken Kim seriously. He has chronic little man syndrome. He shouts and waves his chubby arms in the air,and threatens God knows what…but when push comes to shove,he DAREN’T take on the US because he knows his fat head would be squashed.

Is Trump going to squash Britain and Europe’s head, Jane???
