That applies to you, as much as it does it me x
Absolutely.
You’re just using this post as a soapbox for your anti EU rhetoric.
I am not anti EU at all, I am anti snowflake liberal, who have bureaucratized the EU to further their own political and economic goals and turned what was a good concept, a trading block, into an unwieldy lumbering monster that is no longer fit for purpose.
I am also not getting into a tit for tat what liberal means, or doesn’t, you are entitled to your view and I am entitled to mine.
There is an ungoing class war in the UK, whether you and your snowflake liberal buddies recognize it or not.
15 June, 2018 at 3:43 pm #1098275Thankyou. I think that gave me a little help in understanding your definition.
I too have no intention of a tit for tat over the definition of a word I am uncertain of, and I’m genuinely clueless as to it’s meaning in the political context you are using it. I also understand, you are under no obligations to make me understand.
I have seen you use this word many times, yet I have to admit, I don’t really know what you mean by it.
Does one have to vote for the Liberal Party to be called a Liberal? or a snowflake Liberal?
I’m struggling still with Liberal, so the snowflake bit will have to wait :)
All explanations welcome.
15 June, 2018 at 3:59 pm #1098276The liberal snowflake class, previously known as the chattering class. Predominantly well educated white collar professionals, caucasian and middle class. The non productive middle management class. The bureaucratic class. The voting class.
Espouse a secular and open society, just so long as “them there immigrants and muzzies” don’t come and live next door to them. A class that has infested the very fabric of British society and a class that has put their political and economic interests above everyone else for the past 25-30 years in particular, starting with Major and then Blair and continued by Clegg and Cameron and now May to a certain degree.
The liberal snowflake class branded and brands anyone who voted Brexit as uneducated, ignorant xenophobic racists. All 17.4 million who voted Brexit. There are examples all over these boards.
Give them a taste of their own medicine and they squeal abuse, hence the term ‘snowflake’. as appplied in this context.

This rules me out.

Obviously I am exagerating, in case it is to dry. Just like that Brexit buster Septic exagerates. Just so you know.
15 June, 2018 at 4:36 pm #1098280If you can be a bit more flexible with the stipulations, I might yet just squeeze in as a Snowflake Liberal.

Yes, I hear you like “flexible” Alfie.
15 June, 2018 at 4:56 pm #1098282I have just read this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chattering_classes
I had heard the term Chattering classes before but didn’t know it’s meaning. Now I have a much better idea.
a class that has put their political and economic interests above everyone else for the past 25-30 years in particular, starting with Major and then Blair and continued by Clegg and Cameron and now May
So this suggests that a Liberal Snowflake is probably not a Liberal Party voter and just as well Labour or Tory, correct?
The liberal snowflake class, previously known as the chattering class.
So this “change of ID” occurred about 25-30 years ago?
So it seems, a Liberal Snowflake is little or nothing to directly do with the Liberal Party? In which case, why do you think the word Liberal was used?
Maybe a Tory Snowflake would be more apt?
15 June, 2018 at 5:17 pm #1098283I’m further confused. It seems the term Liberal isn’t Political as much as Social?
I have always taken “Liberal” in a social context to mean the people that were perhaps welcome to coloured people next door, or don’t mind people rolling joints at a party, or don’t mind the odd bit of wifeswapping, I always thought that was the “Liberals” the hippy types.
Liberal Jews and Muslims are the ones that don’t take it too seriously at all. Almost secular.
Now you suggest the Liberals don’t want coloureds next door?
