Instead of sitting there laughing why dont you give her some sensible advice which is all she is asking.

Well fastcar, i think you will see i have given advice on here (the boards)already, some wish to ignore the advice given, after a while you think, why bother. You can take a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink it.

It has nothing to do with the broadband speed, as mentioned earlier, one possibility is probly down the fact the new layout or suns java is a system hogger maybe? i have not tried it as i dont wish to upgrade my java, it could also be down to what security settings you are using. I doubt very much it’s to do with anyone having a older slower system, well to a point atleast, if you have a system beyond 4/5 years old maybe it would be an issue.

Well think me lil puter as old as me

    here gos

    Celeron R CPU 2.93 MGz

    2.93 GHz

    1.92 MB of ram

    So guess im f00ked lol

Sunny I think you only have 192mb of ram

    Run this to make sure.

    http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/

    And post what it says.

If you do only have 192 mb of ram, you need to upgrade it to 1GB or higher and the problem will be fixed.

It should cost you about £60

Aniat should now by now on this site only a few people have boardband, some of the old sods still have dial up.

I know its a joke, but its always better to have them test the line speed before you start.

I don’t know of anyone who has a dial up connection, maybe its just the area im in.

    Maximum Memory Capacity: 2048MB
    Currently Installed Memory: 256MB
    Available Memory Slots: 1
    Number of Banks: 2
    Dual Channel Support: No
    CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
    CPU Family: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.93GHz Model 4, Stepping 1
    CPU Speed: 2926 MHz
The name of this model may not exactly match the model description of your system, our system scanner could not identify a specific model name when evaluating your computer. However, it was able to identify the motherboard your system utilizes.

Q: Will my system recognize the maximum upgrade?

    A: Possibly

Right this is what it said my computer is ??????????/

You certainly do need a memory upgrade Sunny, it would seem you have 256mb of memory, and as it was reporting 193 earlier, it would suggest you have shared memory.
It is not to say this is why you are having the problem you are having, but a memory upgrade would certainly help and you would notice a huge difference in how faster and smoother the computer runs i’m sure.

Hi dumps just been chating to DOA in room he says i need a up grade but to be honest think il just go out and buy a new tower

Think he said somat like 2 GB i think not sure il have a look round but also chat to a lad at work who makes them up for people see what he could do for me

I wouldnt mind but my daughter as a great pc and wont let me use it

Fast as f00k tight lil f00ker she is lol

I was told i could do it me self but knowing me i would blow the house up lol

Thanks for that sunny it does tell me a lot.

First you can buy a new computer, but I don’t think you need one for the next year or so.

The ram upgrade will fix the problem.

Has far has your friend at work building you a new computer, why bover when you can new one off the shelf for £500?

If you don’t know much about computers you are always better buying a new one with some support.

If I was looking for a new computer I would go for one with dual core processer and lots of ram, least 1Gg

Anita its mostly the yanks who are still on dial up, if you live in “Suking Toe, TS” its hard to get boardband.

I don’t know why USA boardband prices are so hight or the cover so low.
