but when you’re a kid you think everyone just talks like you

When I was growing up I thought all Asians had Scottish accents – until I met their grandparents!

I type ‘ain’t’ (which I would never say) and I use loads of exclamation marks – I think chat rooms and texting ‘kinda’ (ditto above) have their own so-called language, of a sort…………if something is catchy I tend to type it! lol I don’t go around ‘lolling’ either!!

I haven’t quite got the knack of copying an accent – ie. aye, or indian or west african etc. etc. lol The extent of my french accent is mwa mwa! :D

I go into ee bye gum mode at the drop of a hat :D Actually in real life people are surprised I’m from Yorkshire… unless someone starts getting snobby…. then me Yorkshire roots show.

I love this by the way…….

The works boss, “Young Mr Peter” had to tell old Joe it was time for him to retire after 60 years with the firm.
    The old man was indignant
“So, it’s come to this, ‘as it? Ah’m not wanted any longer?
Ah worked for thi dad, thi grandad and ‘is dad an’ all.
Ah tell thi what lad, if Ah’d known this job weren’t going to be permanent, Ah’d nivver ‘ahe tekken it on”

    :D :D :D

    Words and phrases such as;

‘nom nom’ and ‘sleeps’ are all very well and will establish the user as a trendy person who you should invite to your Christmas get together.

But what about the word ‘munch’ as a substitute for the word ‘delicious’? Would you invite someone who kept using ‘munch’ to your party or would you just punch him in the mouth?

its not trend setting, your just showing your age:
Sleeps has been around for ages, i used to say it as a child, infact i still do.
Nom nom i heard a few years back in F2 and its now being used on the telly.

As for munch lol google s&m munch :D

    Sorry.

Should have said the usual alternative meaning to munch meaning biting into something.

Munch is not necessarily an s&m thing, it is just a word for people who are into certain things getting together in non threatening surroundings that don’t draw attention to themselves.

Never been to one, before you ask.
