oh i Don’t know Legend. about certain strengths and weaknesses. RE Gender. I am more scared of women now after the Ladette syndrome. .. it must be a right funny old world to speak to, I am at stage of life I am half scared of everyone. Scared to touch a drunk woman for fear of abuse, and even more scared of men. I live in a coccoon of non friend making.
your doing better, NO you wont thank me for that, ! but to get listeners you have you appear to be the open ear./ssp . x
Well stated Ruby. I totally agree. “Non Friend Making” has bought peace of mind and with a less superficial outlook on life. Although I love my friends I have now… Their way of life is not the road I want to take. I find no pleasure in tramping the streets drunk and rowdy while men dribble and reach to grope under the impression that it is somehow…. ok?
Women have “survived” and “existed” but have we really done so with no pre conceptions? (we live under Mans idea of acceptable and unacceptable) I feel that because of Cixi’s secure character humans naturally are unable to accept she is female…Medical or not….I am still wondering why on Earth she would want to be recognised as a woman in this day and age…hmmm I love you men.. you are so so silly… But I love you. Don’t be afraid of women… especially ones who are reaching out… reach back :wink:All well and good but it rather paints all men with the same brush and I’m not all men

As far as ` natural ` is concerned, i dont strictly think it is a ` natural ` condition. As with homosexuality, i believe both conditions are brought about by other natural occurences which then cause the overiding condition. In both cases, i believe they are mainly caused by genetic malfunction and a form of psychosis with schizophrenia, of course these conditions can be considered to occur ` naturally `, i think it is the controlling of the actions or perhaps the failing to control the actions that these conditions instigate, that is the culprit.
I believe that however difficult these two conditions may be difficult to live with, i think with a degree of mental stratergy and determination, they can be overcome. As with addiction, i strongly believe it is a case of mind over matter, the more determination and will power given, the more positive the result. I agree that all cases will differ in that some will be of such extremity, that medical/surgical intervention may be needed/sought, as in the case with ` mr Legend `.
The poll is not an exhaustive poll, in fact it was largely created with a slight mischievous element having suffered insult from ` mr Legend ` myself. It was also to show that insult/dis-respect can and indeed does run to and fro. It plainly did cause some friction with ` mr Legend `, however, malice was not the intended strike.12 May, 2010 at 7:59 am #439665Good job those points highlighted by you are only your thoughts Gaz. Strange comparisons though coming from a drug user himself.
And another U-Turn! You probably meant no malice in hind sight because he was an even bigger googler than you, and you couldn’t get a word in edgeways as you went very quiet during Leggy’s “visit”, or maybe you were on holiday too. :lol:12 May, 2010 at 9:02 am #439666Gender can be so complex, as was demonstrated by the recent case of Caster Semenya, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8250609.stm
And there are many theories, http://transgenderexplored.com/causes.htm
I once counselled a man who had always believed, from very early childhood, that he was really female despite how his physical body appeared. I’ve just written several paragraphs about him, but it doesn’t seem right to put it all here, and of course there is client confidentiality to consider. All I will say is that he did his best to conform to what society expects of a man, but his life was to him a living hell, a complete sham where he felt like the biggest liar on the planet.
Whatever the causes, the issues for someone who believes they are a different sex to their body are far larger than many of us can begin to comprehend. If we cannot show empathy and understanding, then the least we can do is allow them to live their lives in a way that is right for them.
12 May, 2010 at 9:26 am #439667Or accuse them of being liars, he wrote like a man. Now had he said he was male in a females body. Personally I think it was a ll a silly game.
