rossi is the reason why fergie has’nt gone and bought a 10 million + striker.. i think him and rooney, very soon could bolst the best front partnership in the prem
agree with martins though, he was never going to have a great first season, the english game is a lot hardle to settle into then any other league

Rossi is not a bad player – I never said he was – he is nowhere near “awesome” yet – although he has a lot more chance of doing so than Martins
He isn’t particularly fast and he needs buiding up – he is too easily pushed off the ball
He was probabaly one of Newcastles best players at the weekend but that doesn’t say much
As for Ferguson praising him – he wouldn’t be a good manager if he didn’t – but remember over the last few seasons he’s got it wrong as many times as he has got it right
Man U have bought some rubbish over the last few years – and the kids coming throught their youth teams are nowhere near the Arsenal youth
Arsenal played Man u off the park at Old trafford – on their day they are by far the best footballing team in the country , if not europe too
I have always liked Man U – but that’s from the days when they had real superstars – have alook at some clips of Denis Law , George Best , Willie Morgan , Bobby Charlton , Pat Crerand , before you start calling some of todays pretenders “awesome”31 October, 2006 at 8:51 pm #246699@drivel wrote:

Erm, we have 14 youth players out on loan, 4 of them which are at Rangers right now, gaining the experience. Arsenal’s youth, a majority of them HAVENT come up through the propper youth system, Walcott(Rossi is by far the better player btw), players alike. Look into it, and you’ll see. All our youth, except Rossi who joined us from Parma when he was 16, have been at United from the age of 12, coming up. The difference also is that the 90 percent of our youth are English, when most of Arsenals are foreign players they brought at the age of 17, 18, etc. That, to me, isn’t the real system…I do like there Denilson though. They have a real quality Brazillian in him.
Anyway, Rossi isnt any different to players like Zola, etc. He is quite strong for his size. I have been watching him since he was 16. He has only just turned 19, and the amazing part about this tallent is simple..He is going to get better, and is getting better. I really hope he hits form for Newcastle, because if he does, he’ll create alot of chances for them, and will bang in a few goals…I personally want him to come back to us in January, and not be loaned out until the end of the season, which I don’t think Fergusan will do anyway.
5 November, 2006 at 11:58 am #246700Same old season, same old Newcastle, same old sh1te, same old chants.
Why do the Toon fans continue to throw their money at this club, a club which has no ambition and never will under the present board.
That match v Sheffield was an embarassment and the Chairman wasn`t even at the match, he wasn`t even in the same bl00dy country :shock:7 November, 2006 at 10:16 am #246701pml @ Rossi being better than Walcott
Grow up Robbo – if Man U don’t get him away from Newcastle quickly – he’s going to be as bad as the toon players
He never got a kick against Sheffield Utd – he’s too lightweight to play against these big defenders
Nice to see the toon in relegation land though

You are a retard. You don’t go by statistics, only by your dumb and non existent knowledge on football. Rossi is the future of the Italy team, as many big named players and legends have said over and over and over. Some have even tipped him to become a better product than Rooney. You have not watched him enough to judge him, but I have for the past 3 years, and I have seen what he can do when he is on his game, and I personally have never watched a player that can create things like this kid. He plays behind the striker(s), yet he has notched up over 80 goals for us in 2 years of reserve football. The worst thing we did was loan him out to Newcastle. They are destroying some good players, and one player that comes to mind is Duff.
If you are going by the size of him, and him not hacking the english league, then why has he been named man of the match twice for his 2 starters for our first 11, yet has scored and created enough goals that not even a player could do a season, let alone a few games here and a few games there.
You will argue with anything I type to you, because most of the time, I am right, and you just can’t accept your non existent football brain. I judge on what I see in matches, not what I see in a match. There are confidence issues at Newcastle, and like Shearer said, “you cannot play Rossi as a loaned striker, as that is not his real position!” We all saw what happened to Rooney when he played as a loan striker for England in the World Cup. I guess you will mention the, “Martins” saga, yet I never labelled him an imense forward, but a good forward. Rossi on the other hand, is an imense product to the highest degree! Newcastle are destroying players, like Duff, Luq(before saying anything, look at his record), Dyer, Parker, and the list goes on. They are not World Class players, but they are good players who Newcastle are destroying, and continue to do so.
As for Walcott…Rossi has everything, except speed. Walcott is no Rossi type player, and doesn’t posess the amazing talent Rossi has. I mean, the kid is a mix of a Scholes, Rooney, and can pull off tricks like Ronaldo. Add that up and you ain’t got Walcott near that amount of talent. Fergusan has publicly said that he has never had a youth player come through the ranks under his reign that posesses what Rossi has. I would much prefer to go by his judgement, and my judgment on what I have seen from him, and what big named superstars say about him, rather than your knowledge on a player that you have never seen play.
7 November, 2006 at 8:21 pm #246703both will go on to be great players
9 November, 2006 at 5:22 pm #246704If you read what I said Robbo – instead of taking a hissy fit – you would see i said that Rossi should be brought back away from the toon
The pressure there is immense 50,000 nutcases at each match – all baying for a win at all costs
Most of them dont watch the game – or they never see the other team or appreciate the other team
Bloody mags !!!!!!!!!! -
