    Rudeboy:

”Another pet hate of mine is this nonsense of “mental health” that’s reeled out as an excuse to mitigate crime….If I say I’m depressed and go out and gut someone like a fish, backed up by a little letter from a doctor confirming my “mental health” problems, does that mean I get a lesser sentence than someone who is a happy go lucky type of chappy singing jingle bells? ”

His sentence was reduced to one of Manslaugter, specifically on the grounds of diminished responsibility, so basically, he got off with Murder because of mental health issues !

so ? I wouldnt have charged him in the first place. Quite obviously he played the silly system to get the lowest sentence – who can blame him? If I blew  a gypos brains out , I’d try to plead insanity as well calling Sophia in as lead witness

    Tony Martin was morally  wrong.

In your eyes not mine. Morality is a subjective thing and I’m quite happy with my moral compass in determining what is ” wrong”

.Now slither about all you like knowing your wrong, your just looking, pregudist and making yourself look daft.

    lol if you say so

Good on him , one less scumbag in the world to deal with. In America the boards would not even be debating this online but of course here it’s a “wicked old man”. You mention how would I feel if it was my son. How would you feel if it was your father/grandfather being terrorised by this vermin?

After the court case I hope the authorities at least had the decency to reimburse Tony for the cost of the bullet.

Lol  Why ‘ quite obviously ‘? So he wasn’t a paranoid schizophrenic at all, despite what the psychiatrists said ? Why ? Because it suit’s your argument ? Oh come on Rude, I expect better than that from you… You can’t have it both ways, condemn people using mental health issues as a way of mitigating crime then say in ‘this case’ he just played the system !

He told people what he was going to do before he did it.Even his friends were giving him a wide birth because he was comming out with stuff like,he would put all gypsies in a feald surrounded by barbed wire and machin gun them all.He thought hitler was right about what he did to the gypsies and his pet hate gypsies and theves.Murderouse old basterd was just waiting to do it.

In one breath you say’ The Law’ reduced his sentence because they realised it wasn’t premeditated murder !! ( which it actually was and which was the correct verdict) A wrong had been righted in your opinion, then when you find out it was only reduced because the solitary old recluse, living in a derelict bombsite has a personality disorder and therefore could not be held fully responsible, well the sly old bugger played the system … incidentally, the Pysch report was done for the first trial, not since, bad defence team in my opinion ….

I don’t know why you are quoting laws when you seem to agree with me that they don’t represent morality or a true sense of what’s right/wrong. The ” psychiatrists ” are normally frauds themselves pigeonholing everyone according to what their little medical guide says. Everyones brain is on a sliding scale spectrum and far too complicated to label as 99% of the population exhibit behaviour which could be deemed to be outside the normal parameters of “sanity” at any given time. Tony clearly didnt want to be in prison so went down the insanity route- if you were arrested for a crime and told if you state you saw a 3 headed goblin climbing up a wall wouldn’t you go along with it?

I don’t think special dispensation should be made for mental health but as I dont think he should have been arrested in the first place it’s a moot point. I don’t agree with paying council tax or paying extortionate electricity bills etc but we all have to play the game to survive. If I was arrested in a muslim country and told to kiss the Quran to get out, I’d do it – would that make me a hypocrite as I condemn Islam?
