You dont wanna be living next to one (like I do).

On the upside though… every but of metallic rubbish I put out and book up the heavy squad to come and remove miraculously dissapears before they come.

Ive made friends with quite a lot of them and they have promised not to drive stolen cars down my street and park them outside my house and set fire to them any more.

Look, I’m probably not the first person to say this but,,,,,,

Having other trailers next to yours isnt exactly whats meant by “living next door to one”, thats what the people in the houses SURROUNDING the park are supposed to say haha

MY TRAILOR IS THE BEST ON THE ESTATE!!!!!!!!

Am I correct in thinking that if you are living on or receive Council Benefit payments, you can claim for ”necessary” living expenses (which would include the cost of home contents insurance)???

No idea about that PB. I think it is still something you would have to seek out and get all by yourself.

I still find it hard to understand why somebody wouldnt. Its your stuff. Why would you not want to protect it! Everybody (on our local council from what I can remember) gets advice about taking out contents insurance not just by word of mouth but also in a helpful booklet printed in every language, even languages that are yet to be invented.

Ive upgraded now. Ive gone from council to housing association. What a joy that is when you have a repair jobby you want doing. Somebody has to travel 250 miles to come and err “assess” it and then they will “give you a call” when the bits are in, or when they can be bothered to do it.

Id go back to council housing any day.

Lets face it. We (us) are never gonna get on the property ladder.

from what i saw on the tv the homes are quite smart and fully equipped. im sure the people concerned will try their best to make as good a home as they can. not all council tennants are wasters living on benefits and are roundly decent people but there are always a few who spoil it, and its a shame that a lot of people lump the good and bad together. good luck to em i say. theyre gonna need it come winter when the real pikeys move in and strip the place while thet are in bed.
