In today’s society children are having sex at a younger age. This is obviously due to the bad example set by their single mums living on council estates.
Is it time to start putting single mums into prison to save our future generation’s morals? Single mums are setting a bad example to their children, by suggesting that sleeping around and having babies with lots of different men is OK.
This is NOT the society we want, nor need.
3 months in prison should suffice, I think. What are your views? I’m interested.
It disgust’s me to say, but, I do in part agree Emily. However i do think 3 months is rather lenient and nothing will be learnt by these council scum from this short spell in custody.
I would suggest increasing the period to 6 months in a maximum secure prison to teach them a lesson.hoy…im “council scum” .no sin in that maaan !

I see myself as the liberal type. I do believe single mums should be punished for setting a bad example to their children. But 6 months is a bit harsh really..
No, no. 3 months of hard labour should suffice. Perhaps then they will stop cheating on their husbands, making their husbands leave them? Or perhaps then, they will stop sleeping around and having children with 394235829 different men, after 3 months of building new rail-roads and working in quarries.

Hate extremists me. Single mums should do 3 months and a MAXIMUM of 3 months. This will punish them for abusing their children (allowing their children to be sexually active and get pregnant at such a young age is child abuse) sufficiently. Perhaps when they come out of prison, they’ll set a better example to their children by not being council estate slappers who bring home a different man everynight?
See I am a liberal, but, I do believe in punishment….

Exactly. You know me, PB. I’m the ‘firm but fair’ type. I don’t like extremism, there’s no need. I think knee-jerk reactions are just out of order.But end of the day, evil people DO need to punished. I maybe a liberal, but, I’m afraid single mums are destroying this once great nation by setting a bad example to their children that being a council dwelling slapper scumbag is OK. When we clearly know it’s not.
Glad you all agree with me. I was kinda afraid any new user who signed up to JC would think this was some evil site who condoned sleeping around.. after they read this thread they will see that all JC users agree with my comments that all single mums should go to prison for corrupting their children.

i agree – three months is about right, and if they have a long history of smoking their litterbugging children in a fatly manner then yes, three months is about right
However if you really pressed me i would have to say that, even if they had done nowt wrong at all – then a sentence of maybe ……three months ?
