Somalia, together with north-west Pakistan, are said to be the new training grounds for islamist terrorists now that Al Qaeda can’t operate freely in Afghanistan. The foiled attack on an Army base in Australia is said to have been msatermided in Somalia.
The West can’t do much about the situation in Pakistan, whose own govenment is on the case anyway.
So, while nobody wants to get involved in another war, is it a case of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’, in which case it would best for the invasion to be sooner rather than later.
Do they have oil ?

I think it would be a good idea to take Somalia, to be honest. It’d put a stop to the Somalian pirates that are currently going on a rampage. Would be hard for them to slip out of Somalian waters with the Nimitz shadowing them.
