I think so, to any club whos fans cause trouble. Its very likely both Roma and manutd will be fined 0.000000001% of their income, but that wont stop the violence. Even if you catch those involved, they’ll be some that cause trouble next year, and the year after.

OR, the namby pamby idiots that run football clubs could issue an i.d card system that only allows club members into the ground, and if they misbehave, you put them away for 20 years and feed them bread and water.

Small clubs like Altrincham could never afford anything like that, emma.
Its always booting off there, especially against Northwich

Hold on, what about the coppers who caused all the real damage.

There were no coppers in the Roma fans area, and they were the ones who started the bombardment of missiles.

and cos the manc fans started back the coppers leathered sh!t out of them. 11 had to go to hospital and 2 had to spend the night there.

I think they should look at the coppers, and use the same video evidence to prosecute the coppers who dealt out the beating.

There was one guy already lying on the floor, but still 3 coppers stepped up and each of then hit him several times with their riot batons.

Those coppers should be the ones who need to be bounced by their judicial system. Not the football clubs.

    Its not the clubs responsibility.

If 1000 fans decide to travel without tickets and are warned beforehand about trouble you cannot put the blame on the clubs.

Whoever is to blame, catch them, ban them and sack them if you can, for life, then lock em up for 20 years and feed them bread and water. If you make it clear that thats what will happen, only the insane (who we dont need in society) will cause trouble. You have to get tough when peoples lives are at risk.

But it is clubs and authorities responsibility sharon, the clubs are the ones that sell tickets to hooligans. In this day and age, they should show responsibility to the good fans and try harder to block/ban the naughty ones.

    simple really

Anyone (football or otherwise) who is convicted abroad of ANY criminal offence loses their passport for 20 years.

It would be very sobering for a multitude of twenty somethings to suddenly find they can’t leave this country until they’re in their 40’s.

    Trust me, it would work.

The thing that annoys me though is that the coppers think they can get away with GBH just because they got a uniform on.

If that was a bunch of squaddies laying out the punishment to a bunch of rioting Iraqis then the squaddies would be up for court martial.

The coppers are supposed to be riot trained and should of used necessary force to control the situation, not go hell for leather on anyone with in range of their Baton.

What about the hooligans who live in these countries?

Oss, the liberals who run our country describe hooliganism as the English disease, so naturally a foreign copper aint going to take any chances. They were wrong.
