To be fair to Tommy (for a change) I really don’t think he was suggesting that children in care are fair game Ruby.
We simply don’t know why this poor child (and she IS a child for all of this) was forcibly taken away from her mother (and father???) and put into care. We do know that these things aren’t done lightly or without plenty of thought.
One HAS got to wonder what part the Oxford social services have played in all of this. After all they are acting ‘in loco parentis’ and they allowed or permitted a 10 year old to be away from their protection in circumstances where she could meet older men and have sexual intercourse with them.
So with all the ranting and raving from the Sun readers etc etc …. how about somebody thinks on THAT point huh???
Ruby needs to read a little slower, that’s all.If she had read it properly, she would have seen that I was saying it is an atrocity that the carer of this child, be it parents or social care, allowed this young girl to get into that kind of situation and the people that did, should be hanged! (Which they should)

It’s an atrocity. They allowed her to dress like that, they allowed to to meet older men, they allowed them to rape her (as that’s what it is, consented or not!).
If I’m a sicko and make you almost ‘vomit’ Ruby for questioning why she was put into that position, then I’ll proudly wear the Sicko badge!
I agree that 16 is far too young to have sex, anyway. The female body doesn’t finish developing until 19, having sex under 19 can increase the chances of becoming baron.

We have always had isolated cases of perverse decisions by dotty judges. Hopefully people who feel aggrieved will be able to follow procedures that can get the decisions reversed.
I remember reading about a perverse decision the other way some years ago, where a young man had originally been sentenced by a mad judge to prison ‘at her majesty’s pleasure’ – in other words indefinetly, for setting fire to some curtains in a church, and at the time of reporting had been inside for 22 years.

THAT STORY THE OTHER DAY REALLY HURT A SORE POINT WITH SOME PEOPLE,THE JUDGE HAS BASICALLY GAVE THE GO A HEAD FOR DIRTY OLD MEN HAVING A GO AT OUR KIDS.
OK SHE HAD SOCIAL PROBLEMS AND WAS A PRODIGY OF THE CARE SYSTEM,IF A YOUNG GIRL OF TEN YEARS FEELS THE NEED FOR THE AFFECTION OF OLDER MEN THEN WE ARE LETTING THE COUNTLESS YOUNG GIRLS WHO ARE IN CARE DOWN.
MOST OF THE TIME THESE YOUNG GIRLS HAVE NEVER HAD ANY KIND OF GUIDENCE FROM ANYONE,BUT WE ARE THE ADULTS ITS OUR DUTY TO LOOK OUT FOR OUR VURNRABLE KIDS AT THE END OF THE DAY THE MAN MUST HAVE NEW THAT SHE WAS ,NT 16 YEARS OF AGE SO THEREFORE CANT GIVE CONSENT.
THIS JUDGE HAS OPENED A FLOOD GATE OF CONTRAVERSY HE SHOULD HANG UP HIS WIG AS HE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THOSES GENTS WHO LIKE YOUNG LADIES.I really can’t agree that the Judge has in some way ”given the go ahead” as you put it.
What he seems to have done is to react to the FACTS in the case – ALL of them. Remember we are only fed the edited highlights by the Media.
We don’t know if this vulnerable and damaged child was grossly promiscuous and the two men involved were simply two out of maybe dozens.
We do know that she was only 10 and therefore the ”rape” was NOT the stranger jumping out of a bush variety but was based on the girl’s technical inability to give lawful consent – it would appear that she gave her actual consent (and indeed encouragement) but the law says that because she couldn’t LEGALLY consent to intercourse then it was an act of rape.
I know that it seems extraordinary that a grown man seems not to have been able to differentiate between a 10 year old (and thereby commit the crime of rape) and a 16 year old (and thereby simply have a free shag in a park)….. but stranger things have happened.
Very very rarely do the Press / Media provide all of the facts in a reported case …. they usually only give you a highly one-sided version of the story to support their own agenda. I fear that this is what has happened here.
Put it this way. When you’re h*rny, with a great looking young lass who looks 16/17/18 and wants you to bang her……… do you ask her for a driving license, utility bill & a passport to confirm her age? NO!

I’ve had sex with a 15 year old, who I thought was 16, as she told me she was 16. Does that make me a r*pist, too? I knew her for 4 months! She told me she was 16 from day 1.
A 14 year old gave me oral last year, but I thought she was 18/19. She certainly looked it.
Girls look older and older and are getting sluttier and sluttier at a younger age.
Fact is, it’s very possible that the shagger may genuinely not have known she was 10 and the person (people) who is at fault here is the child herself, and whoever brought up the child (her carers).
As PB said, there is always more than one side!!

People who have to explain things to the public use opinionated words, so that we cant say, but you said this. You are not trustworthy amognst under 16 year old girls.
But how do you KNOW someones age without asking them for ID? That’s the point. I was told she was 16 for months.
So you can’t be judgemental in these cases.
And I’m around under 16 year olds all the time. My cousins friends love me they do.
You know, leaving aside all the ranting, raving, and foaming at the mouth about paedophiles etc etc …. this is the entire problem here.
How on earth do you KNOW or can you ABSOLUTELY tell that a female is the age that she says she is???
OK, so you ask her and she says ”16” (or whatever) … so you ask her again and she most indignantly swears that she really is 16 and so on. You make a genuinely honest effort to ascertain her age …. you use your knowledge and common sense to ask yourself does she look as though she is the age that she claims to be.
Problem is that loads of ”young” females look a lot older that they really are, they act older … they dress older … they behave older…. and so on. there are I’m sure many many occasions when an ‘underage’ female claims to be over 16 and has no trouble at all in getting away with it.
So in the particular instance that sparked off this controversy .. the female was in fact only 10 years old but was said to be ”promiscuos” and dressed in provocative or adult clothing.
So maybe she put her hand inside the guy’s trousers fondling him until her got an erection and he is saying ”look how old are you really???” she says ”its OK I’m 16 … come on let’s do it … I want you now” so nature takes its course.
He has now legally raped her and faces a term of imprisonment. How on earth can you or do you prevent this???
You can argue that 10 os at one end of the extreme but what about 12??? or 13??? – the criminal offence is exactly the same.
