And dogs kill and maim far more livestock and children than foxes will EVER do, how about we hunt dogs ?
And dogs that kill maim and even chase livestock run the risk of a farmers gun, and a armer has every legal right to do so, and rightly so, if a irresponsible owner cant be responsible for them as they should they must bear the consequences.Same applies to dogs that kill and maim children if an owners hasnt got control and lets it happen the dog should be destroyed all legal, i dont see the arguement really, that is the case except they are shot put down etc rather than hunted, would be a little hard to hunt a pet dog sittig on someone sofa or in someones back garden
18 June, 2010 at 9:06 pm #441773Makes little difference, fox hunting has no purpose other than to give some people their jollies, if something gets in our way then let’s just kill it, it’s cheaper for a start and we can use the excuses and lies we always use, and claim townies just don’t understand. There is NO purpose to fox hunting other than blood lust.

WTF! so now they are not allowed to keep their own door open in their own house to let in some air in stifling heat ?? Cot deaths are thought to possibly be to do with overheating, so just incase a fox that has no right to come in and should be in the wild in its own environment naturally wary of human has the say over human life and what we should or shouldnt do .. cmon pete be serious
18 June, 2010 at 9:17 pm #441777And country people lie through their teeth about hunting, it does absolutely nothing they claim it does and the fox is made out to be some rampaging beast that could take down a cow if it wanted, whereas it’d come off second best to most domestic cats. We have NO right to kill anything, but a better fence round the chickens, it aint difficult, though amazingly these murderous beasts don’t kill all the free range chickens we see in shops ? Either they aren’t that bloodthirsty or the chickens are stuck in batteries and just labelled free range.
There’s another example of man’s compassion, battery hens, but then i live in a city i guess i don’t understand, it’s just a hen. Birds of prey take pheasants, gotta kill the birds of prey cause we need to shoot the pheasants.
Elephants eat crops, let’s shoot em and get some nice ornaments into the bargain. We are man watch us kill and make excuses that it’s necessary. Utter bollocks, we do NOT need to hunt foxes.18 June, 2010 at 9:21 pm #441778@(f)politics? wrote:

I am being serious, in fact i doubt the story as told to be honest. If they hadn’t had the door open the children would have died ? Do they leave it open all night then ? Two children got “attacked” by a fox, it’s not, and will not become, an everyday or even every year occurence, but let’s nuke em anyway
18 June, 2010 at 9:29 pm #441779Baby attacked by fox in cot is reunited at home with twin sister
Jun 18 2010 By Keith McLeodA BABY left fighting for her life after being savaged by a fox returned home to be reunited with her twin sister yesterday.
Nine-month-old Isabella Koupparis had been kept apart from little Lola for 12 days.
Isabella suffered horrific injuries to her left arm when the fox mauled her and her twin as they slept in their bedroom on June 5.
Lola, who had face and arm injuries, was allowed home last week after treatment.
But Isabella needed emergency surgery at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital and was put on a ventilator after contracting a lung infection. What from the fox ?
Earlier this week, her mum Pauline said Isabella may need regular plastic surgery for the rest of her life as a result of her injuries. I very much doubt that
Relieved Pauline and her film financier husband Nick, both 41, finally took her back to the family home in Hackney, east London.
Wearing a flowery dress and matching sunhat, Isabella appeared sleepy as her doting dad lifted her out of a car seat.
The scale of her injuries was clearly visible as her left arm was in a cast and heavily bandaged.
Lola was allowed home last Friday after spending six nights in hospital getting treatment for facial injuries and wounds to her right arm.
As the family entered the house, they declined to answer any questions.
But mum Pauline said: “We just want to get her back inside the house.”
Meanwhile, council pest control officers confirmed that a sixth fox had been put down after being caught in traps set in the back garden of the house since the girls were attacked.
Four vixens and two cubs have been destroyed.
A Hackney Council spokesman said: “This morning a sixth fox was discovered and disposed of. It was a vixen.”
He said the traps will remain in place as long as it is deemed necessary.
The press has a lot to answer for in my opinion, just report the facts ffs. I’m not supporting the fox and once it had bitten the children it needed to be put down, but 6 of them ?

The truth from a hunter. Yes it agree’s with your arguments Poli, this man supports hunting, but it also reveals the lies of the vicious killer foxes slaughtering lambs and sheep. My argument is we have no right to kill anything except when perhaps it threatens us directly, and the fox doesn’t threaten man or his livestock in any way that requires fox hunting. It’s barbaric, it’s not useful as a control measure and it’s not neccesary.
