    Misterq…

Sorry, use to that word ramp, usual term used. Entrance to enter highway. More narrow, and 2 lanes, one going on to highway the other lane coming off highway. Most of the highways and roads used by me have 2 lanes on both sides. 2 lanes North for example, 2 lanes South..
But entering a highway or coming off starts with a third lane giving little lead room to merge into traffic which is considered a lane with maybe little less speed…., other lane faster speed…. getting off highway, the little extra lane allows ability to merge off at slower speed to enter the narrow way bringing you to town, or any other way to destination.

    Tour Guides Needed..

    Only serious apply. Thanks!

Deciding on Holiday for a woman is as serious as what to wear with what, in a season, and of course fashionable! Planning a gathering and speciality foods for a specific holiday… so you think we do not get that serious for a holiday… Ha Ha..

So to start off with my requested Tour Guide needs will start off with month and hotels…

Is March or April a better month? What is the climate like?

And Hotels so far in different areas, are these nice. And on a scale of 1-10 rate them….

    Hilton Kensington?

    Hotel 53?

    Jury’s Inn

    Park Plaza Riverbank?

    Ballshridge/Mespirl

    Marina?

    Will be taking notes..
    So helpful.

Been trying out different combinations of wheels on my bike lately. I’m trying to find the best combo for long distance. Combination of lightness, rigidity and speed. I race on the flats most of the time with medium sized hills but this ride i’m going on will be mountainous. Lightness and strength is one thing…speed isn’t that important as it’s going to be climbing most of the time. I’ll have it sorted in the next few days. Gearing is most important so i have a 32 teeth set up. Excellent for climbing but still has the high gears to cruise down hill.

Need to set up he brakes well to as i remember last time i tried this trip, some of the hills i was hitting over 45 miles an hour going down in the rain at times. Quite scary.

I’ve never liked S.P.D pedals. I prefer rat traps as my feet can move and get to the floor quickly if i need to stop. They’re great in the Tour de France where the roads are cordoned off and one doesn’t have to worry about obstructions etc but in the heart of a city or town(in my opinion) they are dam dangerous.

Ok…..making some final bike adjustments today. Decided on my wheels which means i will have to change the brake blocks to carbon ones. I’m off Wednesday and should be back Sunday or Monday. And the seat is very important as .i’ve had a problem finding the right incline and balance for it but to be honest…what you got when you set off is what you got to sit on. The seats great but the alum keys will sort out where the recline needs to be.

I got 3 choices at Land’s End…..i watch the sun come up, i watch it come down or i watch it rise and set.  Penzance is only ten miles away roughly so ill be finding a base there…..I set my self 5 years to complete this cycle ride. This year will be 4….awesome!

After this trip i’m going east to Bristol and Bath then that will probably be it apart from locally time trialing again til November.

Next year will be John O’groates but i’m always late,,,schedule wise so probably the year after…due to time, money and energy.
