Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes :D

Apparently if you are good at something it takes more effort to then do it badly than it does to do it well. Les Dawson is an good example, he was an excellent pianist but deliberately played badly for laughs; other (professional) pianists commented that the fact that he could, as an accomplished pianist, play so badly so well demonstrated how good a pianist he really was.

I suspect the same can be said of people who deliberately portray themselves to be stupid or inarticulate.

It’s often when you’re trying to appear clever that you show your true ignorance.

    Indeed.

    Reminds me of a quote:

wisdom is the right use of knowledge.

To know is not to be wise.
Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it.

There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool.
But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.

If we could look into each others hearts and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance and care.
